Game's ON... My prediction... Obama in a blowout, McCain by 5.
Earlier in a thread someone from NH said they can register and vote at the polls. Apparently there were long lines for that all day. Now how could any polster figure for that? That is why the polls were all haywire. And what kind of voting setup is that? Makes me wonder if I am in America or a third world country. Plus the voters don't have to be residents, just have to say they intend to move there.
Of all us freepers, I’ve always thought you most likely to be Rush :)
I just thought about this again. The RKBA just isn't that important huh? Did ya like Bill Clinton, too?
If Fred gets the top spot I’d hope he could find a strong conservative VP who’d at least deliver his/her own state.
Spin spin spin. Unless Romney starts finishing 3rd or 4th in states, he will win.
Frankly, that probably isn’t in the cards. His name is just starting to spread. He has campaign money and his appeal is very broad and not narrow like many of the other candidates. He was an unknown a few months ago.
You can wish all you want but reality is reality. Just look at the number of votes he got here in NH!
How did your guy do?
I beg to differ. I don’t believe Rsh is seeing the “anti-mormon-cult” vote or he’s purposely ignoring it because it reflects very badly on Republicans and conservatives.
I, OTOH, don’t have to worry about that crap!
Mitt is unelectable, folks.
There is just no way McCain will represent the Republican Party in this election. He’s sort of the anti-Republican. He can be charming and funny, but he is political poison.
Thompson is done. No one comes back from less than 2%. No one. Out of the choices we have Romney is the obvious pick. Did you see how gracious Mitt was to McCain?
She claimed that neither Chelsea or Bill appeared with the beast tonight during her "victory" speech..........
Fainting co-eds are appropriate today. It’s Elvis’s birthday.
I worked for a small insurance company in a small town whose owner had served in the Army Air Force with McGovern so he was on the board of Directors. Every once in a while he’d show up for board meetings. Paying my bills prevented me from showing my disgust.
And the discrepancy wit the polls? Remember '04, when it was the Dems whining because the results in Ohio and elsewhere didn't match the exit polls? And did we buy it in the slightest? No, The exit polls are repeatedly wrong -- we remember when they are right, and we don't notice when they say win by 20 and someone wins by 30 -- but they are still very frequently way off.
I keep making that same point over and over again but you have said it so much better than I!
Great post! : )
I had a hard time navigating their website. Isn't NH done on a proportionate basis? So, if there are 12 delegates, anyone who receives more than 8.33% tonight would receive one delegate? Yet, they gave none to Giuliani and seemed to give an extra one to Mitt. I need to look at their math again.
It’s like the perfect food.
And some of we single women watch over and protect our men!
Then thank goodness we have you around to teach the unwashed Freeper masses!
You are the one spinning. Romney spent tens of millions of dollars in two states that he should have won easily and he did not. If he loses MI, he will be out.
Yep, I heard him speaking the other night after Iowa, and I said to my husband, “This man is VERY dangerous”. He “sounds” good, especially to those who don’t have a CLUE what he is talking about, or where he stands on the important issues that are facing our country.
He is invigorating, especially to those who are so “disaffected” by the war... They are looking for HOPE, and in their eyes, he is the one that will bring it after the last 8 years of war... He is very dangerous indeed.
I don’t personally know about the sex appeal factor (he doesn’t strike me personally as good looking at all), but he’s youthful, energetic, and an excellent public speaker. A perfect combination when you’re going after the young generation(s) who historically go liberal (before they grow up and learn the hard way). I honestly think Hillary would be easier to beat than him — unless the ties to his Islamic family in Kenya becomes a factor. Of course, then you’ll hear the same old thing touted out again — how all of us Republicans are just a bunch of bigots and racists (just like what our own leadership accused us of last year). I hope I’m way off base here...
I STILL think Fred Thompson could beat him though... :)
Yes I did, it was classy. Romney was so positive in the speech, I remember Brit Hume reminding the audience afterward that it was a concession speech....lol.
