Look, it's always very nice to claim that if whoever you don't like (most) wins, that someone must have cheated. A couple of dozen folks keep talking about "bussed-in" voters and stuffed ballots. But look at the actual results. Obama underpreformed what you might have expected for a 10-point win EVERYWHERE. In Hanover, where he might have won by 50% he won by 35. In the industrial towns where he should have lost by 10 he lost by 20. In the bedroom suburbs he should have won by a bit, he lost by a bit. Unless those busses went to every town and dropped off a neat small number of people, and those extra ballots went to every polling place -- IT JUST DIDN'T happen. And the whole state is swarming with media and Obama workers -- you think you can run in thousands of folks who aren't registered? Get real, folks. Sometimes a loss is just a loss.
And the discrepancy wit the polls? Remember '04, when it was the Dems whining because the results in Ohio and elsewhere didn't match the exit polls? And did we buy it in the slightest? No, The exit polls are repeatedly wrong -- we remember when they are right, and we don't notice when they say win by 20 and someone wins by 30 -- but they are still very frequently way off.
Four words : Same Day Voter Registration.
That's what actually did the trick. A lot of non-residents wound up voting.
