Romney beat Fred by a huge margin in Wyoming today and there are a lot of rock solid conservatives there. I know a few personally. I agree about getting Huckabee out. He may have not gotten one vote in Wyoming.
Fred has go to do better to have a chance. He can’t be 3rd or fourth in every state and expect to win.
As of now, If it comes down to Fred, Mitt and Rudy, it will really be between Mitt and Rudy. I will come down on the side of Mitt.
I will also back whoever we send up against the Democrats....the alternative is not a bearable option.

"Siamese fighting fish, fascinating creatures. Brave but of the whole stupid. Yes they're stupid. Except for the occasional one such as we have here who lets the other two fight. While he waits. Waits until the survivor is so exhausted that he cannot defend himself, and then like SPECTRE... he strikes!
I must say, I really like that! (see my tagline...LOL)

“I heard Jason Lewis, who was filling for Rush, say that this would be the last national primary that was run this way, that the next primary would, in all probability be one day, all vote at the same time, election. It gives far too much power to two insignificant states, and frankly the rest of the country is fed up with the way they vote.”
It would take a federal law to over-ride every state’s law to make a one date primary election for all states. There would be an uproar from the states. Perhaps the Rush guy doesn’t exactly understand how it works and he may be doing wishful thinking.

HAS ANYONE NOTICED THAT GUILIANI HAS DONE REMARKABLY WELL THIS DEBATE????
I have to admit it was his best out of the last three or four...stumbled on immigration a bit...

Mr. G is very adept at making his points... That does not necessarily make him the front runner... he has a lot of baggage.

I think that Jason Lewis was thinking that the party apparatchik would over power the state parties and change the rules for a one day primary. It is really not fair the way it is done now. All you have to do is look at Florida and what is happening with their chosen date, to know that the present system is not working, never mind that Iowa voters picked Huckabee.

These are all older guys. It is late in the day. They have to be given some time get thoughts out, and they all feel time pressure for answers.
I got the impression the two senators were bored out of their minds by the sophmoric performance of their GUBERnatorial counterparts....LOL

It is really sad, and the idea that they still don’t know what they did is even sadder.
They have marginalized the Iowa caucuses for all time. No Republican will ever take them seriously, again. I’m glad that the state has gone Democrat since ‘88, so it’s not much of a loss.

BTW, I like Fred the best but the FReeper attacks on Romney are disgusting.
The Romney campagn's hit pieces on Fred are digusting...they are getting what they are dishing out. Don't believe in the golden rule?

Well, every state legislature would have to pass a law to change their date. I don’t think Iowa and New Hampshire would ever change their date. They have had these dates for a very long time and they’re not going to give up these historic dates when they can be the first and second states to do this. Our Texas date is so far from these states and even the big February date that the final presidential candidates of the two parties are already chosen before we vote. That is why the legislature tried to change it to the Super Tuesday February date but couldn’t get the bill passed so we are still the pig tail primary. I sure hope you other states give us (Texas) a good final candidate.

Hes the ONLY guy up there who has not been directly attacked.
There's really nothing to attack him on...
Even if they could think of something...he'd handle it.

I live in WA state, we don’t have any say in the choice, either. That’s why I am so angry with the choice of Huckabee by the Iowa voters and plan to protest the system to the national party.
Huckabee and his supporters are like a fifth column, running within the party. They have no political ideology in common with Republicans, and if it weren’t for the fact of the early caucus Huckabee would be on the level of Ron Paul.

If someone would just call Ron Paul an asshole, theyd win the primary right then and there. Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are.

People will see through the rhetoric and go on to support him. There is really no other real clear choice. The bashing of Mitt only makes him stronger, imo.
Yeah, really impressive...like the Wizard of OZ...'til you peek behind the curtain...:/
