McCain has done nothing for me this evening. Fred (my unspoken preference) has held on, but I expect him to shake his head and say “There you go again.” And he won’t do it.
However, Mitt has done much more for me this evening. I strongly prefer a President w/executive experience which leaves me with Mitt, Huck and Rudy (lenient definition).
Oops. Paul just explained correctly while the price of oil has gone up. That guy brushes against the truth every once in a while.
He is clearly the smartest. He is not as articulate as I would hope. They are all attacking him. He is so much more accomplished in life than all the others. It is too bad so many FReepers hate successful people. All you have to do is go look at the Rush threads where a lot of these same people rip him for his G5!!!

Mitt is not overwhelming the competition. This is a good debate. He is the smartest guy in the room, but there are no stupid people on that stage. They all have their styles and approaches.
Thompson got a little tongue-tied by heading in the wrong direction, but I would not deduct points for that. These are all older guys. It is late in the day. They have to be given some time get thoughts out, and they all feel time pressure for answers.
McCain’s attacks on Romney are surprising. His polling must not show much of a lead — or maybe he’s in desperate trouble for money and in Michigan, which may be more important that NH.
Giuliani, like her or hate him, is ALWAYS well-prepared..
