Emergency preparedness at a bare minimum:

Shotgun, flashlight and H2O

This one felt more like a 5.0 to me but then the epicenter is very close by. At that it was a rough bumpy ride.

Earthquake Ping List. If you would like to have your name removed from this list, please FReepmail me.

A 7.2 quake in Jakarta region. And all around the Pacific Rim there have been a series of 5.0 range quakes. I watch the maps usually every day and it seems to me an increased amount of activity.

Certainly a 7.2 quake is a biggie. Hope we don’t have that here.

If that part of the state were to slide into the ocean it would change the political landscape in California. The political party balance would reverse to the point that it would once again bring California back into the body politics instead of being a definite Democrat block vote.

Department of Homeland Security issued a statement three minutes after saying that there was no indication that the quake had no links to terrorists.

Don’t these small earthquakes mess up your houses, weaken the construction, crack the bricks and stucco? After years and years of these small earthquakes it seems that your house would be a wreck.
