Some attorneys are going to profit from this.

Strange things happen in Roswell; no doubt the extraterrestrials arranged this as a signal that they’re in charge.

Damned UFO Rays screwed up the printer again, I see.
The Reticulans probably think it's hilarious.

The printer better hope their “errors and omissions” policy is up to date and paid in full.

Not necessarily. The dealership needs to pay off $30,000 amid great fanfare. The favorable publicity would be the best advertising it could ever hope for. It can then try to recoup as much as it can from from the marketing company.
There is no reason a lawyer needs to make a dime off of this situation.

It had to be the aliens who did this.

It’s the printers problem, not the auto dealer.

You are correct except the scratch oof company needs to foot the bill.
The dealer is not at fault having never touched the mailing.

Force Events Direct Marketing will never be heard from again. Just a guess.
To: Iwo Jima
30,000 times 1,000 equals 30,000,000 so i dont think they will be writing any checks, this could get a little ugly. There is no way to make that up unless the manufacturer is somehow involved.
To: buccaneer81
Jeff Kohn, Roswell Honda general manager said a typographical error by Atlanta-based Force Events Direct Marketing, which printed the advertisment, had given all 50,000 scratch-off tickets grand prizes. A proof is always retuned to the customer to be signed off on. If Roswell Honda signed it and didn't note the typo,it is their fault, not anyone else's.

I used to work in a bindery and all employees were encouraged to look at the proofs and printed pages no matter what our job was. A lot of things got caught that way.

I recall about 30 years ago, a local car dealer advertised a vehicle "FOR SALE...just 2,500 clams".
Some enterprising individual with an attorney for a relative made the dealership honor the ad.

Its the printers problem, not the auto dealer. Most printers have a disclaimer on their proof (before it goes to press) that any errors are the responsibility of the person signing off on the proof (in this case the car dealer) and that the printer cannot be held responsible for any errors.
