Not necessarily. The dealership needs to pay off $30,000 amid great fanfare. The favorable publicity would be the best advertising it could ever hope for. It can then try to recoup as much as it can from from the marketing company.
There is no reason a lawyer needs to make a dime off of this situation.

“Meanwhile, the names, addresses and phone numbers of “winners” who arrive at the dealership were being taken down. Kohn said they will all be invited back to the dealership.”

You are correct except the scratch oof company needs to foot the bill.
The dealer is not at fault having never touched the mailing.

30,000 times 1,000 equals 30,000,000 so i dont think they will be writing any checks, this could get a little ugly. There is no way to make that up unless the manufacturer is somehow involved.

That’s more like $30,000,000.

I agree with you.
For a short time, I sold cars at a mid-to-large sized dealership.
Believe it or not, $30,000 in advertising costs ain’t that much. Probably would only cover the cost of a couple of weeks newspaper ads.

Paying off 30,000.00 (30,000 tickets x 1.00/ticket) is reasonable, and I’m sure they’d do that.
Paying 300,000.00 at 10.00 per ticket is possible.
Paying 30,000,000.00 at 1,000.00 per ticket can’t be done.

Kraft did the same on slice cheese and all they gave was discounts to buy more cheese. The lawyers were the ones who got the money.
