Strange things happen in Roswell; no doubt the extraterrestrials arranged this as a signal that they’re in charge.

Damned UFO Rays screwed up the printer again, I see.
The Reticulans probably think it's hilarious.

The printer better hope their “errors and omissions” policy is up to date and paid in full.

Not necessarily. The dealership needs to pay off $30,000 amid great fanfare. The favorable publicity would be the best advertising it could ever hope for. It can then try to recoup as much as it can from from the marketing company.
There is no reason a lawyer needs to make a dime off of this situation.

It had to be the aliens who did this.

It’s the printers problem, not the auto dealer.

Force Events Direct Marketing will never be heard from again. Just a guess.

Jeff Kohn, Roswell Honda general manager said a typographical error by Atlanta-based Force Events Direct Marketing, which printed the advertisment, had given all 50,000 scratch-off tickets grand prizes. A proof is always retuned to the customer to be signed off on. If Roswell Honda signed it and didn't note the typo,it is their fault, not anyone else's.

I recall about 30 years ago, a local car dealer advertised a vehicle "FOR SALE...just 2,500 clams".
Some enterprising individual with an attorney for a relative made the dealership honor the ad.

Its only $50 million bucks.
I think they going to need a “going out of business” sale sign.

Legally speaking, this was a “mistake” and neither the dealer, nor Fprce Events will be liable for payment other than to remail the promotion with one winning ticket in the mix. This is much like a mistake in an advertisement in a sales flyer inserted in a newspaper.
To: buccaneer81
If the contest rules on the back of the ticket is worded as most are, this printing mistake voids the contest and no one owes anyone anything. Lawyers were involved BEFORE the idea went to the printers. Now what is left is some PR damage control.

This reminds me of an "Andy Griffith" episode were Floyd gets a 200.00 prize, which was supposed to be 20.00.
Man, I'm gettin' old.
