Here we are again my friends, hopefully for the last debate thread on this particular monstrous legislation. Proceedings are supposed to begin at 9:30 a.m. EST, with the cloture vote being taken at 10:30 a.m.
On a personal note, you've all been wonderful in your passion, vigilance, and commitment to the principles on which our country was founded. If I have to be in a foxhole, I want to be in it with you guys.
Thankyou!
Because they called the roll alphabetically.
WTH are you going on about?
“All Your Bill-Signing Are Belong To US!”
AHAHAHA!! I’ve been waiting for that one......
Has anybody said that this is HUGH?
Pingy me please...
:)
I thought that the fence was funded for the 700 miles but that the Bush Administration wasn't putting the money in the last approved budgetary expeditures?
I could swear I heard Duncan Hunter saying that not only was it authorized by Congress but also, subsiquently, funding was approved by Congress.
Think I need a nap :)
Do you want to pool from many or did you, personally, want to go solo....looks like a few of us want to pool....I'm leaning towards sending after recess to DC office....also, that way, other Senators/staff will see it....
Yes-The status quo is not what we desire, but at least we won’t have 12 million or 20 million newly legal ‘workers’ demanding benefits, committing crimes and flouting our laws. We can work on the fence and beef up enforcement.
Yes, and the bill would’ve rewarding the scum that marched through our streets in May 2006, waving another country’s flags, and signs with ofttimes threatening messages directed at all those not of their raza. Yes, this is the status quo-but not rewarding thugs is worthy of celebrating.
What bill signing?... you mean the one where the Congress brings up the rest of the funds for the fence that’s not fully funded? ...The one that’s not going to happen? You mean that one?
Thats because of all the “Thank You” calls for Sessions, Vitter, DeMint and others!
ty! “stolen’s” best : )
Sen. Sessions would make a great Vice President.
I got that message on my first try calling Sen. Session’s DC office. My second try went through. The staffer was warm and gracious. See Post #1836.
THEN I heard the President or someone propbably appointed by him to do this...
..'took' some of the money appropriated for Duncan's fence.
Where can I find the stats on which votes were spineless last-minute switch votes? (like Sam BrownNose?)
It’s hard to tell who’s the bigger loser, realtive to this vote, Bush or Reid.
You are right about Senator Byrd. He saved amnesty a few years ago. He stopped Bushs first amnesty attempt. We have a lot to thank him for even though he is a Democrat. At least he voted “no”.
