Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Look at some of the discussions from 1999 as well.

People would flame.

And the mods would holler.

Now . . . it really feels like the mob has taken over.

I’m getting ridiculed on the Animal House thread for never having seen it. I have to stick with politics for now. Though I did almost ping you to a Danica Patrick thread. Lotsa skin and all...

Rudy Giuliani didn't think such a procedure should be banned, he agreed with Bill Clinton in opposing such a ban

Anyone supporting Rudy Giliani is if not endorsing, they are condoning the same murderous policies that would result from him being elected President.

That is the truth, and there is no way to spin it otherwise.

To which I repeat.

ANYONE who thinks this is a perfectly acceptable medical procedure is a monster on par with Charles Manson.

It really ain't all that different from 1999.

The year before the primaries is full-contact season.

No, if he’s the GOP nominee, any swift voting is overwith. It’ll only help the democrat nominee at that point.. Or am I wrong?

Nope, you are absolutely correct.

While Giuliani is not my first choice, I see no benefit in trashing him to the point that we foolishly guarantee a Democrat control of the executive branch.

Others here disagree with me.

Consider well the important trust . . . which God . . . [has] put into your hands. . . . To God and posterity you are accountable for [your rights and your rulers]. . . . Let not your children have reason to curse you for giving up those rights and prostrating those institutions which your fathers delivered to you. . . . [L]ook well to the characters and qualifications of those you elect and raise to office and places of trust. . . . Think not that your interests will be safe in the hands of the weak and ignorant; or faithfully managed by the impious, the dissolute and the immoral. Think not that men who acknowledge not the providence of God nor regard His laws will be uncorrupt in office, firm in defense of the righteous cause against the oppressor, or resolutly oppose the torrent of iniquity. . . . Watch over your liberties and privileges - civil and religious - with a careful eye.

The Dems will the use the FDNY and their union thugs to Swiftboat him. Slate already telegraphed the strategery about a month ago.

And the MSM will slime him without mercy over his personal life.

If Rudy gets the nomination, it’s going to be a bloodbath.

No matter who wins the dem nom, it’s going to be nasty. Any connection with Bush will be verboten with the media.

This is setting up to be an awful, awful election no matter the situation, simply due to the media.

I just got word that my last grandparent, my dad’s dad, has passed away. He was born in 1910. He was a sailor, a coal miner, then after losing two fingers in the mine accident he became the county preacher for the rest of his life.

A good, holy man. Rest in Peace, Grandpa Charlie.

Now . . . it really feels like the mob has taken over.

You really seem to enjoy thowing out that word "mob".

Maybe you could try to spice up your smears with Pack, or Herd, or Gang, or Horde.

Anything to break up the tedium of mob.

Or maybe you could start salting lynch in with mob to change thing up a bit.

Good point:

if not endorsing, they are condoning

One cannot be prolife and condone, even silently, abortion, or one ceases to be pro-life. One becomes when-it’s-convenient- for-me-I’m-pro-life. Which means when it’s not, you will favor abortion by sanctioning a pro-abortionist to run the government.

It’s saying, “I personally don’t approve of abortion, but I am hoping this guy will keep the bad guys away, and I’ll sacrifice the unborn in the hopes I can live comfortably.”

That’s only slightly different that saying, “I personally don’t approve of abortion, but I support a woman’s right to choose.”

It’s still sacrificing the unborn for one’s convenience and comfort.

There’s just no getting out of that one.

Apparently. But now that it is built up so much, I could only be disappointed when it fails to meet the hype.

Sorry, pal. Giuliani is the enemy of the conservative movement. If he becomes the nominee, it’ll be primarily due to liberals and moderates who vote for the Culture of Death. He will not be getting many votes from pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-Liberty voters. And he’ll go down in a flaming hell in the general. The GOP will be left a smoldering ruin of burned out liberals. You should consider becoming a Democrat if you wish to Win one for Abortion!

I'm not pro-life, and I'm not against gay rights. Therefore I'm a blankety-blank-blank liberal.

Pretty much.
