Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

here’s Al’s opus:

JIM ROBINSON AS THE NEW JOSEPH FARAH - STABBING THE CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT IN THE BACK
On one the few rational minds left around here - but not for long | 4/24/2007 | Al Simmons

Posted on 04/24/2007 10:22:39 AM PDT by Al Simmons

About me:

Lurker - since 1998

Member - since 1999

In self-imposed exile - since April 2007

The tone of the debate and the attacks on long-time fellow Freepers for the cardinal sin of daring to support Rudy Giuliani in early 2007 around here have really saddened me. Instead of fighting the enemy FR is now imposing an ‘ideological purity’ test on FR members. The well-oiled train has gone off the rails and Mr. Robinson risks becoming the next Joe Farah - a fellow who started a great website for conservative news and opinions, but who gradually drifted off to la-la land, losing all credibility - and readership - in the process.

He has set himself squarely in the Internet media spotlight, doused himself with gasoline, and and lighted himself on fire - a fact that has not escaped the attention of the left-wing lunatics at Daily Kos. Their reporting on what has been going on at FR is perhaps the first factually true account published on their site.

Jim, if that quote of yours about setting up an organization to ‘Swiftboat Rudy’ is accurate as quoted in their article, the only thing I have to say to you is that you ought to be ashamed of yourself, as you have now become the back-stabber of the conservative cause.

If you wish to marginalize this site by turning it into a narrow “several-issue” forum, that is your right. Just as it is my right to choose to not participate here any longer.

But you will be disappointed if you think that the crude, illiterate “goon squad” you have allowed free rein around here (dmw, narses, dirtboy, extremely extreme extremist, ReaganMan and several others - if I have slighted anyone, please email me if you want onto this list) will elevate the level of intellectual debate.

The result has been predictably in the other direction. That is what happens when you hire a bunch of brown shirts to enforce your own brand of political correctness.

Well, guess what? Politics is 99% BS and one can quite nicely live one’s life without the need to bloviate about it. I know how I am going to vote. I could care less about anyone else. Life is too short to waste my time around here when I am clearly one of those made to feel like they are not welcome.

So, go ahead Jim -

MAKE MY DAY. BAN ME. I DARE YOU.

I kinda enjoyed them being here because it was a good example of what we are dealing with in the real world.

I know they enfluenced some of the weak freepers, but really as you can tell they were so darn rude and hateful to many.

That's why the the big party. Many were almost afraid to freep because they would swarm in and attack, and cause the poster to feel quite alone.

Now they feel good because they realize it is them in the majority, and conservative thought a priniple that really do rule the day on FR.

I guess thats why I finally got in the fight a couple months ago, I was so sick of them doing that to me.

It's no different in the real world either, no matter what you do or where you live. There is always a vocal highminded, "know\o it all" minority trying to push , (bully)there compromised agenda, usually because they are trying to be at the top. And usually there are a huge amount of silent folks either wondering what hit them, or afraid to speak up.

I have always had a fear of speaking in public. A few years ago while attending community meetings that were crucial to "private property rights" , I realised if I didn't speak up first, no one would. Turned out that there were many who felt the same way and spoke out, others heard our voices and came forward.

Same thing in the Repoublican party, I found myself at a meeting where I had always been silent and voted with the conservative outspoken leaders, and realized none were there. There were several of us very quiet intimidated conservatives sitting there facing a very few outspoken bullies. We had to speak, or let them steam roll right over us. That was a meeting where we actually accomplished a huge change to the conservative side.

I guess at 52 I am not so concerned about what others think of me anymore.

LOL. Look, whether you know it or not, you "compromise" pro-life all the time.

My pecking order of "life" is,

1) My family's safety.

2) My safety.

3) The safety of my friends. (Yes, I know what Jesus said, but barring a miracle, I don't have that kind of love).

4) The safety of my LIVING countrymen.

5) The life of the unborn.

Terrorists threaten all of the above. Abortion only threatens #5 in the short term. There is NO pro-life movement if al-Qaeda wins. Period.

Being at that point in life is a good feeling.

And knowing that what you do really does count is also good to know.

Apparently you didn’t see our Ohio results in the last election. The solid conservatives got their clocks cleaned. And it was NOT because conservatives didn’t turn out, but because a lot of “middle” or “indies” voted the other way.

Nope, and as I said, I'm with you. I will vote Duncan Hunter in the primary---unless a vote for him elects McCain, then I will have to make another decision.

I'd like Fred Thompson to run. But until he does, I'm going to go with the person most likely to beat Hillary.

“And it was NOT because conservatives didn’t turn out, but because a lot of “middle” or “indies” voted the other way.”

Then you might want to tell that to the rudy boosters who keep blaming conservatives for staying home and giving the dems control.

When I first came home talking about Clinton’s mistress & how all this stuff was an impeachable offense for Clinton, she asked me if that was just some conspiracy theory I heard of and if maybe there were other “normal” people who had heard about it. About a MONTH later, other people started talking about it.

My friends and family think I'm some sort of clairvoyant ever since I started talking up Fred Thompson months ago. None of them had even heard of him, and they're amazed now that he's getting publicity.

Al couldn't even be bothered to ping me to his latest long-winded vanity (at least this one was locked because it, like all his other vanities, could be posted on an existing thread). So not only does he feel unrestrained by the request from FR management that vanity posts be kept to a minimum, he can't even ping me to a vanity he mentions me in.

And then he falls back on the classic liberal attack of referring to his opponents as brownshirts.

Just goes to show that Rudy boosters such as Al have a grossly-exaggerated sense of self-worth. And conservativism, for that matter.
