Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

I found it very oddly laid out. I couldn't figure out how to look at the latest stuff even with a "latest" button, and I'd search for names and not find them only to see them if I just went into a few discussions.

I feel the same way about literally all forum software other than FR's. John created such a good product that it spoiled me.

Well if the Daily Kos says so who's to question it right? /s

This is a good purge thread. About time IMO.

Shouldn't you be posting over at Daily Kos? According to one of your fellow Rudy boosters, it's part of the conservative world.

Plus, it looks like your Wideawakes buddies fed Kos the material for his post about this tread. I see you liberals have found common ground. Heck, Rudy might be too conservative for the Kos crowd.

A fine speech. But promoting a liberal - yes, Rudy is a liberal - on a website that exists to fight liberalism is bound to cause friction.

Look at Katie-O’s opus. That utter disdain which she has for the values and supporters of this site could be seen in many of her posts. She did not come to those thoughts over the last few weeks.

So if folks chose to see those who want to take Rudy out in the primary as neanderthals and idiots, it was only a matter of time before the shit hit the fan.

Not sure how many times its been said, but this is a conservative site, not a GOP site.

No, just after! You crack me up!

This is what happens when one bumps into a thread without reading enough of the earlier posts in a conversation!

Exactly. In high school my friends and I used to say, "Don't you hate it when someone interrupts a conversation and don't know what the he!! they're talking about."

I just don't care to hear it from a noob telling me I'm wrong.

Amen. Right now, the threat is before our eyes. Anyone who looks in any other direction is simply not getting it.

With respect, esteemed FRiends, it's not quite that simple. The threat is not only before our eyes, it's also right behind our backs. If we focus only on those in front who want to cut off our heads and ignore those behind who are going to put a knife in our backs, we, and our Constitutional Republic will be just as dead.

At the MFJ, we were attempting to get rid of a disgusting abortionist, gay agenda loving, gun grabbing, power abusing, low character liberal with a train wreck of a personal life.

Compare that to today's FR where we're trying to get rid of a disgusting abortionist, gay agenda loving, gun grabbing, power abusing, low character liberal with a train wreck of a personal life.

You put things so eloquently. And accurately too.

That’s the true danger, I think. We can deal with the enemy without. Dealing with the enemy within might ought to be pretty high priority.

Awesome, another actual Republican is getting some traction. This is good news for Republicans and bad news for the Rudy McRomney RINOs.

Good grief...Huckabee may be a Repub, but he's a big spending, Immigration loving preacher who did nothing for Arkansas but raise taxes, and get his name put on a bunch of State/Fed works projects.

After his watch, the state Republican political machine that was starting to make some gains, has lost everything it achieved and bellied up.

Talk is cheap, and Huckabee is full of it. Unfortunately I was not convinced of that until the last few years when he began to show his colors.

You cannot imagine how disappointed I am. The sad fact now, is that in order to vote, I will be required to change my party affiliation. There are no republicans running or planing to run within 200 miles of my location, and it is not making me very happy.....

So much for our once touted control of the South. That control and political promise is history.

Exactly.

Some (not all) of the zot-ees have not only been promoting a liberal candidate but have been on thread after thread belittling pro-family, pro-life, pro-God values ... the very values this site explicitly professes to promote.

Dang, I'm heartbroken. I was SOOO looking forward to your promised expose of Dem operatives posting on FR to discredit Romney.

Now we'll never know ... what nonsense you were waiting to spring on the forum.
