We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
-—Ill reserve and preserve my right to fight against any abortionist gun grabbing liberal that gets elected to the White House from either party-—
That would make a most excellent signature line...it says everything that needs to be said!
“Facts are facts, history is history, and Rudy Guliani has a ton of past history to answer for. Lets not talk among ourselves about Mr. Gulianis past. Lets ask him for the truth. And then, when the truth is known, we can ask the next candidate for the truth.
“
You just said it all.
I have wanted to say it many times, but couldn’t bring myself to, for the same reason. That obsession with a corpse has wasted more bandwidth on this site, a totally irrelevant thread that belongs elsewhere, not here.
The Giuliani campaign will appreciate your donation. It’ll help pay for the hors d’oerves when Rudy speaks at the 2007 NARAL Pro-choice award banquet.
Place marker ping
you and me both onyx...I remember too well the year I had to choose between Edwin Edwards and David Duke...I much rather be for a candidate, especially this early in the game.
Paul's not my candidate anyway, so your ad-hominem is moot.
Even better if you don’t bad mouth them long after they are gone.
I think most of this can be avoided if Fred seeks the nomination. He would heal many of the factions of the party. I think he appeals to a broad section of the party.
This is the time for us to have food fights. Not next summer.
The sanctity of life is the most important issue to me, even above the issue of national security (and my son in being redeployed to Iraq early next year........voluntarily).
I have not here, nor anywhere else, endorsed Rudy Giuliani OTHER THAN if the choice is Hillary Clinton, who is evil beyond description and would kill babies for pleasure and destroy our military with demonic glee.
It is obvious that the purpose of many on this thread is to take those of us who are NOT supporting Rudy and mindlessly railroad us off this forum.
Well, Spiff......if I leave it will be of my own accord due to morons like you who feel like a man by berating people who are ON THEIR SIDE in opposing the nomination of Giuliani.
If people like me don't belong on this forum, then it is NOT a conservative forum. It is a place fit only for angry, hostile, spiteful non-thinking creeps.
I AM a conservative from top to bottom from stem to stern, and I do NOT support Rudy at all.
But if you feel that voting FOR Hillary is RESPONSIBLE and PRINICIPLED, then I don't belong on a forum with you, because I am BOTH of those things, and I will do everything in my power to keep that MONSTER out of the White House.
If Jim Robinson wants to ban me for being AGAINST Rudy, and FOR life, the second amendment and morality, so be it.
It's his forum, and he can ban this very conservative pro-life patriot if it's his pleasure to do so.
I know that it's Spiff's purpose (and others) to get me banned for being a pro-life conservative who doesn't support Rudy. I don't know if he'll get his wish or not............but at this point, I'm not sure it matters......
#4220.
And no. I have lots more questions for Mr. Thompson.
“Itll help pay for the hors doerves when Rudy speaks at the 2007 NARAL Pro-choice award banquet.”
LOL, let me guess caviar of course and pheasant eggs.
I never said he was your candidate
Nice dodge
I, for one do not want you to be banned. I am truly sorry for my harsh words to you earlier today. My best.
Hey! You do good work!! Except for the occasional typo!!!
Never let up, on prayin.(grin)
That's a little bit harsh don't you think? I saw him on Bill Maher (via an FR link of course, I don't watch that crap) and he was a buffoon. He's certainly not presidential material. But I would still like to have 100 more Congressman like him.
It's called Rudibotulism. Guaranteed to give you nasuea, vomiting and to the unborn it can be fatal.
The candidate debates will prove interesting as will the scientific polling afterward when more voters will be paying attention to the issues.
Sheesh. Here we go again. Are you sliming a good conservative and conservatism in a misguided attempt at justifying abortion and gay marriage to bolster your abortionist gay rights supporting gun grabber candidate?
I found it interesting that I would simply point out JimRob’s words from the front page of FR, that “As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun...” and yet rudy supporters would still try to push their solib candidate, not CARING about socon values.
