Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Right. I suppose we should roll over and accept socialism then? That’s your solution?

McCain and Feingold are the Father's of CFR.

Nah. It was originally McCain/Feingold/THOMPSON, and McCain's chief of staff gave Fred Thompson primary "credit" for the bill's passage.

May have been a Fred thing. He was pushing the same junk over and over, and one of the mods changed one of the “Is Fred pro-life?” titles and added a (YES), so I think that is not a valid argument any more.

“The IRAQ war DID.”Not true. The bills did, everything went up for the small time money people ,on top of that they had to deal with new heath insurance and filling out papers.People don’t like to do that and some did not get their meds right away. They were mad and said no matter what the Pubs were out.

Abortion is not the only issue. Ron Paul/Badnarik are pro gay marriage.

Let me emphasize I'm not trying to get libertarians banned.

Note the posture of President Reagan to that of Giuliani in the pic. Reagan was a very confident man.

Why didn't you ask then? Rather use it to badmouth behind someone's back, eh? I don't know much about it. Its a service that you can buy that bounces your IP to another. Like you don't know.

Easy grunt, I didn't badmouth you, I just thought your inquiry about me being someone else with a bouncing IP was a bit unusual.

You want a service that provides a proxy server so your home IP address is shielded? It's easy to find one.

Google is your friend. Plug in terms like "proxy" "server" "privacy", etc.

You looking to get gone and come back as somebody else grunt?

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. “For the traitor appears not a traitor – he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.” – Marcus Tullius Cicero 42 B.C

Registered is one of the original FReepers and a true FR treasure. Please tell me when he "went off the deep end" as I've seen no evidence of that.

It was a couple of years ago that he started going off the deep end. He really showed it here in this thread right here.

It’s not that complicated. There are some very simple books like “More than a Carpenter” by Josh McDowell, or “The Case for Christ” by Lee Strobel, or my favorite: “Jesus: God, Ghost or Guru” by Buell & Hyder.

Guiliani is a ... pro-military foreign policy conservative.

Can you please describe what that means in terms of what foreign policy goals and approaches he proposes?
