Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

And that FACT that so many of the rudy supporters felt threatened by, and in fact came and argued against, his post, was an eye-opener for me.

Asked whether the DNA samples from children in support cases should also be given to law enforcement agencies, the Mayor said: “The same way fingerprints are available, DNA should be available.” He called DNA tests “a wonderful protection for the innocent and another method of catching the guilty,” as well as a tool for determining paternity.

When asked whether all children should have DNA tests at birth, the Mayor said: “I don’t know that that’s the proposal, but I would have no problem with that, or fingerprinting all children. We go through a massive effort to try to fingerprint large numbers of children” now, he said, “so in case they are lost they can be found again or in case if they are kidnapped they can be found again. There is absolutely no reason why people should be afraid of being identified.”

-snip-

“It’s not invasive,” the Mayor said. “It doesn’t invade any right of privacy. You don’t have a right not to be identified. I don’t remember a constitutional amendment that gives you the right not to be identified.”

OK. Point well taken.

Maybe I should have made myself clearer. When I referenced the nanny state, I was referring to treating adults like adults, not treating children and newborns like adults.

MiaT was a surprise, her logic that unless you support abortionist Rudy over abortionist Hillary you were responsible for aborting babies was bizarre.

I’m glad this has come to a head, if Rudy’s supporter’s want to promote him, at least be honest. Vote for Rudy!! he’s not as corrupt as Hillary. I was sick of them claiming that my entire POV was one meaningless issue when compared to the supreme being Rudy.

Amen. Last year I thought a Hillary presidency was unfathomable...today, it is very likely. We should all be very, very afraid.

"But she got really mean all of the sudden for some reason. A lot of the women did, it was uncharacteristic."

I noticed that as well.

What you see in the Constitution is Liberal in the classic sense, not the modern-day perversion of “liberal,” which is nothing but a pretense to gain power.

In the latest FR poll, Giuliani is only getting about 6-7% of members' opinion. The vast majority of us are NOT on board with Rudy the RINO. I would vote third party before I would vote for a pro-abort, pro-homo candidate who doesn't understand the Constitution.

As would I. I can not vote for a pro infanticide candidate. I know that someday I will have to stand before the gates of heaven, and be judged by God. Christ died for my sins, but that doesn't mean I have a right to pile them on.

C'mon now son, you shouldn't be telling tall tales like that.

Who are you and what have you done to promote Conservatism? Nothing. LOL.

California has always been one of the most liberal states in the country....I grew up there.

I grew up in California. My mother and father grew up here. My grandmother grew up here. Her father and his father grew up up here. Her husband, my grandfather, also grew up here, as did his parents and grandparents.

You are mistaken when you say "California has always been one of the most liberal states in the county." It was because California was pioneered by adventurous, risk-taking CAPITALISTS with conservative politics -- people like my great-great grandfathers, both agriculturalists -- that it became such a successful and prosperous place that all the East Coast and Miswestern liberals, risk-averse people who couldn't pioneer their way out of a wet paper bag, flocked to in later years.

Yes. Stop making stupid presumptions to make yourself feel like you’re better than others, when you’re not.

So the parents of the children don’t get to be treated like adults?

How can Rudy possibly expect to win without Texas?

You don't really think that Rudy would take Texas, do you?

“and factioning off of long time Freepers here.”

Let’s be clear. They weren’t factioned off. They set out to get zotted and they did. Nobody’d fault but their own.

“When I referenced the nanny state, I was referring to treating adults like adults, not treating children and newborns like adults.”

Then try this one:

Honestly, it’s hard to find any instance, except on abortion, where Rudy has come down on the side of ‘less government interference is better’.
