We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
Right...
That’s fine, babe. I understand, but hate can be a blinding thing. And tactics should be well-considered.
From my meager understanding of things, Rangers don’t shoot from the hip either.
Politics ain’t purty, agreed.
It appears like that’s your plan. Is it?
Shucks, I forgot...but I had to help my hubby bring stuff in from the car, so I have an excuse...
Am I wrong? Show me where!
I had five separate plane flights that weekend since my bro was in Reno. I was in line at airports or flying more than I was actually on the ground in Vegas at the TI. That Sunday rounded out the weekly nicely. I don't drink but it appeared others were feeling no pain. Friva was great. Laura Ingraham, Michael Jackson (b-day for his first son) at TI, meeting JR and freepers from everywhere. It was 120 then. Pretty darn hot imo.
Show me proof in what he said you nitwit...
Ditto's & thanks for the response.
Yes, Ronald Reagan would run as hard as he could against the RINO. But, he wouldnt take down the party doing it.
***Is that what you think is happening on this thread?
Why thank you! I think it’s the best one verse summary of the way to live...
As a member of Iowa’s Republican State Central Committee, I watched Mr. Forbes up close and personal from the first days he began to run for president in ‘96. He started on the left in that election cycle, though it was carefully couched in the best Madison-Avenue-bought verbiage money could buy. After losing that year, he decided he needed to appeal to Christian conservatives to succeed. So, he morphed into something completely different leading into 2000. Only problem is, like several of these shapeshifters this year, he could just never get it all the way right. He was a phony then, and he’s a phony now. His support for Rooty is just the latest confirmation of my opinion.
See post 14,038.
Like Alan “The Huckster” Keyes the only phony that I voted for...
I was responding to your hateful, whining, view toward FReepers. Anyone who wants to can go back and see that this is the case.
“I concede that Rudy is a “liberal,”
That’s a good place to call it a night lol...
“but I think the Rudy folks that were on FR were conservatives, I believe they proved it over time. I won’t agree that they should not argue strenuously and freeper-like”
I can’t agree. They constantly abused anybody who dared to question Pres. Bush on policies where he left conservatives in the lerch (Miers,CFR,borders,spending)...They were being good Repubs, not conservatives. Now above you talk about their right to argue strenuously for their candidate (Giuliani)...yet you claimed the onus was on them to argue Giulianis conservatism. But they really havent outside of WOT, some questionable tax/spend policies. What they did to push the owner over the top is to start denigrating conservative candidates and RWR so as to somehow, tactically make Giuliani look better...that was the line he drew over and over, even to individual posters. Yet they still insisted on doing it right in his face, even after he warned them.
I’ve had that car in the shop all week, BTW.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That’s gunna hurt,,,they are a reeel pain in the @$$ when
something skrooos-up...very nice car IMO...;0)
It's not unusual for politicians to change their minds on various issues. After all, it was Keyes who first thought the issue of slave reparations was an outrage then ended up supporting it himself.
Does he still insist we owe slave reparations?
CINOs who push a liberal candidate onto this socon forum in a rude manner are part of the FOUNDATION? Then why don’t we just change the mission statement of FR, such as the part where it says,
