Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?

You will “KEEP” me around as an example - that’s rich. FR has become one big circle jerk. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. I mourn the great site this once was.
Goodbye Jim. It was a great decade and it’s been an interesting ride. I wish you and your family nothing but happiness. Life is too short for this kind of nonsense. Please close my account.

LOL. Been seeing a lot of that recently.

"Thanks to JimRob and many others for helping to kill the liberal infrastructure that has been slowly gaining strength around here." You radical religious conservatives, in trying to create your own private version of Conservatism will find yourself nothing but an impotent fringe group, powerless to affect change where it matters most, in the political arena. If everyone that is not a conservative according to your narrow thinking is a Liberal then you are highly outnumbered. Better hang on for the ride because all those Liberals are going to make policy decisions you are unable to.

I’m glad you still have your sense of humor, because it seems to me that a lot of wonderful Freepers have been lost.

I must say, I have never been a fan of Howlin. I keep a list of really nasty things she’s said to people, she often called people names.
However, I have to say, she’s not posted in the last several days and at least she had the decency to just bow out rather than disrespecting the site where she’s posted literally thousands of times.
She might just have a small amount of class. I still don’t like her, I think she’s a bully but at least she isn’t disrespectful like many of her friends. They’ve spent all these hours here and then trash it, I find it extremely unbecoming any decent human being.

I disagree. The left got pulled left and won, the right capitulated to the middle and alienated the base and lost. Lost big. I say take it right. Doesn’t have to be radical religious as you put it but the basic tenants of conservatism should be put back in front.
This fear of Hillary winning because we don’t have a liberal candidate as a viable choice to chew up middle ground is nonsense imo.

At least after a short while, you wont have to worry about any dissenting opinions...Its much more peaceful when everyone just shuts up and goes along, eh?
I have to agree with you, in a way.... There was a tremendous debate and bloodshed, then a satisfactory compromise.
The necessary bloodshed was during the Revolutionary War.
The satisfactory compromise was called the United States Constitution.
Around here, it appears that there are still many who are glad to go along with it.
Peaceful? Hopefully so. But we would STILL rather fight than switch.

It would be funny except that is what was supposed to persuade folks to see the light last year.
I can't imagine why it didn't work out very well?

You (the collective you) have suddenly decided to betray all that FR stands for, all that the conservative movement stands for, all that the GOP stands for, all that Presidents Reagan and Bush stood or stands for, all that our American founders stood for. Why do you think that has happened?

Wow. I didn't always agree with a few on that list, but some of those are long-time FReepers, like MiaT and Oceanview and Peach.
Maybe they're just suspended and not banned.

What I have determined is that FR had a lot of sleeper trolls, and I’m not certain that they ever voted GOP.
