Rush reports that a Cessna has been reported as crashing into (at least one) apartment complex in NYC Mannhattan's upper east side - on East 71st Street.

what are the flight rules for small planes along the east river? I can't believe they just let anyone cruise up and down the east side in their private planes.
My gut tells me its terrorism, but I don't know why they wouldn't have picked a more high profile target in midtown.

Angle of attack (alpha) can be ONE of the many causes for stall. High alpha conditions can be overcome by thrust. Therefore, it is incorrect to say that too much alpha causes stalling.
But knowing little about this subject, I probably shouldn't comment.
