Pat Buchanan says illegal immigration from poor and developing countries will overwhelm the United States and other Western countries in the next 50 years unless something is done.
"We've already won the battle with the public," Mr. Buchanan tells The Washington Times. "The question is, when will the government respond?"
In his new book "State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America," the former presidential candidate and White House speechwriter examines immigration-related social problems and documents high levels of support among Hispanics for the so-called "Reconquista" of the U.S. Southwest.
Several authors have addressed the immigration issue in recent years, but Mr. Buchanan's book -- ranked No. 2 at Amazon.com yesterday -- proposes measures to address the "emergency" that are more far-reaching than any legislation advocated by conservatives in Congress.
His plan includes deporting illegal aliens with criminal backgrounds, a 10-year limit on legal immigration set between 150,000 and 200,000 persons per year, and a $10 billion, 2,000-mile security fence along the border of the United States and Mexico.

Peyote Pat gets it right.
Why only antiSemitic? He seems to be racist all around except toward those of European descent.
You're either for Amnesty or you're against it. Pat picked the right side.
He is not a moron. Why do you claim that he is?
And were are the examples of his racism?
On this issue Buchanan clearly understands what he is talking about. But his personality and his history will unfortunately keep many from giving what he has to say serious consideration.
More accurate than the MSM or most politicians will admit. The slow takeover of the southwest has been going on for years. That's the plan. All you need to do is look at California. The LA mayor and the Lt. Governor are both card carrying members of MEChA. Not enough Americans realize just how serious the invasion is.
Shameless attempt to paint something about a person one disagrees with and make the debate about him, not what is said.
The National Council of La Raza's motto is "For The Race (Hispanics-Chicanos) everything. Outside The Race, nothing".
What do you think their motto means? A long distance race to the finish line?

Pat Buchanan has been preaching the downside of open borders and illegal immigration since the early 1990`s. It was part of his "culture war" political agenda versus Bush41 back in the 92 GOP campaign.
But they are easily lead.. being peons, like they are taught in their language and culture.. The patron(boss) matters little to them.. You know like when they lived in Mexico/Central America.. Mexicos government(s) have always been Mobs.. they know nothing else.. To them Mob Rule(democracy) is the way things should be.. They will be republicans when hell freezes over..
If you think the democrats are NOT mobilizing them(10 to 20 million of them) to vote as we speak.. you must be a liberal already..
If you hadn't put that graphic after your statement I was going to differ with you

"45,000 Americans KILLED by illegals since 9/11"
Significant if correct. Can you provide a source?
Sure can...Congressman Steve King, Iowa Republican, 5th District. The information is contained in an article he wrote titled "Biting the Hand That Feeds You". If you write or call his office, they will tell you that these figures are gathered from the FBI, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, along with other sources. The '45,000' figure is a ROUGH figure calculated by running the '25 a day' figure forward from September 11, 2001, and is cited frequently.
Yes, you're right, how could I have forgotten?
Oppose the "One Face at the Border" initiative Email your Members of Congress asking them to oppose the "One Face at the Border" initiative
In 2003, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the creation of a new Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) position and the One Face at the Border initiative. Under this plan, a new position, the CBPO, would combine the duties of legacy inspectors from Customs, the Immigration and Nationalization Service (INS) and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) into a single front-line border security position. With 41,000 employees, CBP is in control of 317 official ports-of-entry for travelers and cargo.
Essentially, the One Face at the Border initiative was aimed at unifying the inspection process that travelers entering the United States have to go through. Instead of making three stops an Immigration Inspector, a Customs Inspector and an Agriculture Inspector travelers would meet with a single primary inspections officer who was specially trained to do the job of all three.
Consolidating these three organizations has caused logistical and institutional chaos and has taken attention away from critical homeland security priorities. It is true that all three of these organizations deal with front line border and port security, but they do so in very different capacities.
Please email your Members of Congress asking them to oppose the "One Face at the Border" initiative and support a detailed, independent review of the proposal.
Tengo buen dia, aqui se habla espanol..no mas ingles.
This is what I have always had trouble accepting. Most Latins who come here want a job. How deep is this support for "Reconquista"? Did someone do a poll? Ask 1000 Mexicans if they think the U.S. ought to give back Texas and New Mexico, and probably a lot will say, "Yeah, sure." But in practicality how many of them are willing to subvert the law to do it? In other words is "Reconquista" a preference or a burning desire among Hispanics? I would suggest if it is anything at all it is the former, at worst.
