Just saw on Fox that the IDF is monitoring unusual activity on Syrian border in the Golan Heights...tanks there, they are removing land mines at the border...not up on their website yet
Considering Iran is 'moments' away from having nukes, this might be our best chance to knock them out.
Me too, I am favor of allout war. I have seen enough of the Islamic Facists. Is there anywhere i can go to sign up for military duty at age 56? I can keep the powder dry and load and stuff.
/ok this is tongue in cheek but I really wonder if we haven't gone beyond the threshold. We are focusing in on little tidbits but the big picture is we have an enemy who wants us dead. Them or us...it's our choice and we currently have the upper hand. I don't know about tomorrow.

They've been waiting for decades for the time when they could act to remove Israel - their fathers and grandfathers tried and failed - but now probably does appear to be their best shot, emboldened by Hezbolla & Iran, knowing where the U.S. is on the battlefield (rather than having to guess), knowing that if they lose probably the worst case is a bunch of unanticipated extra UN economic aid - they may be correct that now is their best time to strike...

However, I am shocked at how overtly stupid Syria is acting. They will be decimated far more quickly than the Hezzie guerillas.
I suspect that if Syria has a chance to change the "facts on the ground" vis-a-vis the Golan Heights they will take it. The elephant in the living room that the Fox correspondents haven't mentioned is that the Syriens can fire arty from the Heights right down on Jerusalem. This is totally unacceptable to Israel, for obvious reasons, so if they make a play for it they're asking for total war.

If Syria is THAT connected to Iran and we know things with Iran will come to a head regarding nukes and their terror connections, then all they may be doing is start a war on their terms instead of Israels or ours.
Over extending forces would be the goal I would guess.
