Just saw on Fox that the IDF is monitoring unusual activity on Syrian border in the Golan Heights...tanks there, they are removing land mines at the border...not up on their website yet
Yep. They should just avoid the Israeli middlemen and just drive them right into those minefields.
P.S. Here's a preview of the outcome.
I'm sure the Mossad is busily getting info from their Syrian contacts.
Is was a great story wasn't it?
Quote "Because if Syria attacks Israel, then the entire Middle East is going to be at war. Open war is often necessary, and it is certainly coming, but that doesn't mean that I have to clap my hands with glee when it occurs"
I for one will be THRILLED. We have to do what we have to do to end this - or knock them back several decades. It is them or us? Which do you want?
I am all for all out war. The time has come to bring this crap to an end.
Anyone still want to say it's time to start stepping down troop levels in Iraq?
Talk about a fighting retreat.
Hell no
Good, Israel can roll in unimpeded.
I don't think that Iraq would do that, not if Iran were attacking them, and us. Our guys would be between a rock and a hard place though. Do we go into Syria to defend Israel, or stay in Iraq to fight Iran? We couldn't let Iran take Iraq, so we couldn't defend Israel if Iran attacked Iraq.
And I completely forgot about Turkey. That whole area is going to explode. If the Syrians and Iranians are going to attack, they have to do it before Iraq is stable. If they wait too long, they will lose their initiative. I actually think that this is good planning on their part. It's either now, or never.
I'm sure that Murtha would still like to 'redeploy' them to Antarctica, or wherever.
Has the time arrived to take out Assad and his clan of terrorist exporters?
Griffin: 1st time in 30 years Israeli intelligence shows activity on Syrian border - 30 tanks (Syrian) in that area now...
Oh, they'll get their clocks cleaned. No doubt about that. However, if they coordinate the attack with Syria and others, they will keep us out of the fight with Israel. The destruction of Israel is the goal. They may think that now is their best chance to accomplish it.
It would make a heck of a movie.
Syria is removing the mines so they can go on with a land invasion.
Fox/Jennifer Griffin (Griffiths?) just clarified the story a bit -- they said that Syria had been clearing the land mines for a few nights, the new twist/addition to the story was that there are now 30 tanks in formation at the border.
We could handle Iran and Hezbollah at the same time. Whether we can handle Iran and insurgents inside Iraq at the same time is the question.
Worst case scenario: insurgents assassinate the Iraqi government while we smash Iran at the borders.
I didn't realize that the Syrians hadn't done anything near that border since the '73 war. No wonder the Israelis are watching them.
