Oh Happy Day -- The Wonderful Joyous Events of a ZOT
Posted on 07/15/2006 7:59:51 AM PDT by rapture tonight
I am traveling from blog to blog to spread the wonderful news.
The current events in the Middle East are the most wonderful happenings I have ever seen. Surely, we are in the end times. The very end times. I expect to be in paradise by the end of the weekend. Probably today. Won't you join me?

I've seen several articles claiming that this is why Christians are for the war. All written by totally clueless, secular people. How dumb. They've been rapture crazed over at DU for the past few days.

If I'm not mistaken, the Bible says nobody knows when the end will occur. Actually, Jesus said, "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father....42"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come." [Matthew 24:35-37, 42, emphasis added]
That leaves plenty of room for perhaps discerning by the press of events that it is fast approaching. Of course, we have many cautionary tales of people who thought they knew and didn't. Still, those who are carefully observing and correctly interpreting events might realize "this is the year," then "this is the month," then "it's sometime in the next week."

That's part of the mystery. We always cook up four or five slices of bacon, then cube a Hormel Cure 81 or other good ham, chop up one big onion and add those into the four pounds of g. beans after they're cooked in a pot. I cheat on the little 'taters. They come in little cans.

Oh, too bad about the potatoes. Have you ever tried the fresh little red ones? They're so much better, but they can be a lot of work.
Another thing my mom did with the litte red potatoes (and the smaller the better) is to cook them in chicken stock, drain them, then add some butter, a little milk or cream, salt, pepper and parsley. You can't eat just one! So good.
Damn, I'm hungry!
