Developing . . .
Yikes! There's a switch.
Not to worry though...as soon as Blitzer and Cafferty come on it will get back to normal..
Yep. Which would serve their ultimate purpose more right about now, victim or aggressor? What they are in sore need of is a little sympathy. And about 50 million Muslims crawling like angry red ants to Mecca.
Thank you.
I just saw the weirdest thing, (IMO)...Fox News has Jonathan Hunt reporting on the "rapist" in New Mexico or Arizona...
He is REALLY good on stories that involve the Middle East and such..that it is odd to see him doing a "local" story.
I know that is a goofy thing to notice at this time...but, hey..I'm a goofy girl.
But first, he warned Pharaoh and commanded him to release the Israelites. The decision to persue Israel to recapture or destroy them was also Pharaoh's.
God wanted Jericho destroyed. He knocked the walls down.
True. Sometimes He does become directly involved.
Sodom and Gomorrah, anyone?.....
God did not cause the wickedness of the inhabitants of S & G. Their punishment was in consequence of their wickedness.
Similarly, God did not start the present conflict, blood-thirsty terrorists did. However, His power may yet have a great deal to do with their destruction.
It is messy cleaning up millions of bodies.
They would not stand a chance against us.
YES
I'm glad you like it. I love the Israeli people and always have since I was little.
Do you all really think a breaking news thread about a potential regional war is the place to hold an utterly meaningless semantics debate about a topic none of us will understand with certainty until we are before the throne of our Maker? I'm annoyed and I'm a Christian. Forgive me for actually wanting information about the events at hand rather than pointless opinions that can be spouted off at any other time and place.
Exactly. And in that sense he does not have the "free will" to accomplish that act because he is Holy, he cannot lie, he cannot sin. But it is entirely his business as to when we die. So he's free to use whatever means is necessary, including evil rulers, to kill us off at our appointed time.
Until we have come to our appointed day and hour for death, we are indestructible. And when we come to that day and hour, we are dead.
.And if it were time, it would glorify god and reveal his power and authority to all the nations. Which would be good. But we haven't been through the tribulation yet. So, it's not time.
The point was that God does get directly involved in war. There was a suggestion that He doesn't.
Well then, that makes two of us. He has been on this serial killer thing all day and it is just not his thing. I thought to myself, what did you do to deserve this, it seems so below your pay grade.
Dennis questioned that also...but Ledeen didn't answer, he just said that they shouldn't question America's backing them.
It was interesting, while Ledeen was on, Dennis had a call from a teenage boy...whose parents came from Iran...and he was practically begging Ledeen to tell him that finally something will be done to free the Iranian people.
But high explosive rockets and artillery is OK?
LOL! Poor woman will probably get her pink slip tomorrow.
Listening to BBC. Pretty good transmission. Link is
This thread is hundreds of posts long already, so you already are having to sort.
It's called FREE Republic...a discussion site for Conservatives.
You aren't supposed to have to read or like every single poster.
I would like to second newguy357's point for exactly the same reason.
Do I get popcorn for my $5??
Well, actually, in a sense He is: Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord YHVH: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? (Ezk. 18:23)
If God chose to actively manipulate us like robots instead of permitting us to choose redemption or condemnation, then all indeed would be saved. But God has chosen to give us a choice--not because He is weak or does not see the end from the beginning, but because it is His sovereign will that all human beings choose their own eternal destinies. To that end, He sent His Son to be our Light. Once we are exposed to the Light, we have a choice: To come into the Light, or to flee back into the darkness.
A Nuclear war could happen at any moment. That would trigger a domino effect that could conceivably bring about the end of life as we know it on earth. So interjecting a few comments here and there on whether or not we need to fear the future or whether or not God is in control of this situation is not only natural, it would be unnatural to leave God out of this discussion.
Some of us believe God is in control and we are comforted by this knowledge. Some of us seem to think that this whole situation took God by surprise.

Do you think it was God's will that you got involved in this conversation? I do.
