Developing . . .
Ditto.
Yes, # 639...but thanks! It's good to keep up and this is an excellent thread to keep track from/on...
Yep. The "pause to reload."
I have no idea, stopem. If the war stays as it is now, probably not more than intel and public support. If the war widens in any meaningful way, I would expect full support including air support.
But that's really just a guess and I'm sure other freepers who analyze these things will have better information.
Well I guess I'd better remove Genesis Chapter 6 from my Bible. I suppose it was "free will" that rained down upon the earth for 40 days and nights, huh?
He doesn't love us if we have no say in what happens to us or in our choices.
Then I guess he didn't love Paul. I'd say he interfered with St. Paul's free will on the road to Damascus.
God is free to commit sin, too, but He doesn't.
God is Holy. Therefore he cannot commit sin. Where on earth do you get the idea that God is capable of sin? How can a Holy God be capable of doing anything that is not, by definition, Holy? Sin, by definition is rebellion against God. How can God possibly rebel against God? But that's a subject for another (currently ongoing) thread.
God can destroy all life on this earth and it will be a Holy Decision. He did it once before. What makes you think that you or I are inherently more holy than the people God destroyed in the Flood? I'm sure they all were freely willing to be saved. But they didn't qualify for some reason.
Did not God order the Israelites to kill all the Amalekite Men, women and children along with their cattle? And didn't they do it? Was God just "allowing the "evil" to happen"? Or was God actively involved? Indeed God punished Israel because they held back. I am certain that from God's perspective the killing of all the Amalekites was a Holy Judgment. It was "good". But from our perspective it seems pretty nasty doesn't it? But then we're not God.
Thanks!
Yes.
Yep, I knew what you were getting at. So did 99% of the rest of the readers on this thread. Except for lugsoul apparently...

The Post of the Beast!
I don't know if you are fans of Michael Ledeen or not...but he was just a guest on Dennis Prager's show.
He said a LOT...but, he said that if Israel decided to take out the leader of Hamas, they would probably "ask" the United States first...he also said, though, that Israel should NOT ask permission...
That they should just do what is necessary, because they should take the US at our word...that they have the right to defend themselves.
Dennis asked him what his instincts are about this situation...and he said he is just watching, reading and waiting...but, he said if HE had a call...Israel and the US and the West would once and for all need to realize that unless we go for regime change in Syria and Iran..this will NEVER stop..and we need to get rid of the Islamofascist ruled countries once and for all.
Now..I wouldn't call that cheerleading...but, I think his sentiments match a lot of ours..from what I have read.
Case in point...Job. God gave Satan free rein with Job, but placed boundaries on what could/could not be done. (rather like the Holocaust) The Timing was God's and He knew Job's heart and what the outcome would be.
Just as God allowed His Son to be crucified. God did not cause the crucifixion, evil men did, but the outcome was as God planned.
Boy, is that confusing.
Gee thanks.(sarc)
Luck of the draw to post on that number.
I don't get why Israel would need to ask permission.
And I have to say, I agree. This won't end until it's taken care of once and for all.
FNC: Israel attacks fuel tanks at Beirut airport.
Sooo,...they are raising prices because they FEAR whats going on in Lebanon? Not for any legitimate reason, like a storm, or tanker sinking..or something?
Ledeen has a lot of expertise on the situation in Iran IIRC. I think he's the one that's always ending his article with "Faster, please".
Relax. #1) Since you were "little", the balance of power in the ME has drastically changed in favor of the US and Israel. The Soviets do not have active client states they would defend anymore and also the Soviet supplied armaments of countries like Syria and Libya are basically worthless, degraded crap today, while Israel's and our militaries are orders of magnitude better.
#2) God is not going to let Armageddon happen, regardless of what man does, if it's not time. And it's not time, trust me.
Everyone Paypal FR $5 for todays entertainment.
I don't know anyone who is "pro-war". It is an indefensible position, however, sovereign borders cannot be crossed, citizens (soldiers) cannot be kidnapped AND terrorism cannot be tolerated.
unless we go for regime change in Syria and Iran..this will NEVER stop..and we need to get rid of the Islamofascist ruled countries once and for all.
I can't argue with that....
