Not positive, but I think it works like this:

He pleaded guilty. He can withdraw the plea, but there is no appeal. Had he been sentenced to death that would have triggered automatic appeals.

Suckered you too. I can't believe the foolish posts I'm seeing here approving this verdict.

Can not believe it.

Can't win em' all, now can we?!

Besides that, I don't believe he will last all that long in prison anyway.  And it won't be the mercy killing the state would give him!

The defense lawyers have won big time.

How can they live with themselves?

"What didn't add up. The scum was taking flying lessons just like the rest of the scum who flew into our buildings.
You think that was just for fun? That he wasn't part of the scheme to harm America?"

I'm sure the good folks of the jury found that it was just a coincidence that three of the flights had five terrorist and one had only four. /s

There will be two theories and we will probably never know which one is correct: THEORY 1: Moussaoui really wanted to die the martyr and the jury didn't want to give him the satisfaction. THEORY 2: The brilliant lawyers and/or Moussaoui realized that the jury could be convinced of the truth of THEORY 1 and that they could save his life by letting him "make a fool of himself" pleading, in effect, for a death that would be denied him. Unless the lawyers reveal their strategy which is highly unlikely in my opinion then only Moussaoui will know the truth. OTOH, the lawyers could state that they did not have any such strategy. That is possible if not likely. But it won't answer the question of Moussaoui's real motives. We will never know what they were unless the lawyers confess to spoofing the jury. Not likely.

FACT 1: Nine of these jurors were gullible dumbasses who partially excused his behavior by rationalizing that his dad was mean and he had a tough childhood.

This is another OJ jury, plain and simple.

Moussaoui was jailed for taking flying lessons and not wanting to learn how to land. The authoritie's refused permission to access his computer.

Well today is a wonderful day.

A terrorist is spared what he deserves by braindead shallow bosies that have soaked up and intelnalized decades of Liberal propaganda.

Pat Buchanon is on Hannity pretending he has no bias whatsoever against Israel in his willingness not to believe the wannabe Hitler's words.

I think I'm going to do the only sane thing today. Go watch United 93 and drag others to see it.

Mr. McNulty, I do not believe ZM was lying when he said he wanted to kill Americans. I do NOT think this was a great day for America.

I remember that video--he had big boobs too. They were getting hormones from somewhere and had a happy little "Lucy, I'm home! setup"

He'll be kept safe from the other inmates by guards being paid with our tax dollars to do so. Besides, I'll bet he has many more sympathizers in prisons all over the country than we would care to admit.

He'll have to be kept in solitary confinement - I don't think he's going to last long in prison, ala Jeffrey Dahmer.

Add to that making the little ones from the big ones producing a profit that would provide for every need he requires (IE the bread)

About your Tagline: This jury tired, this jury faltered, and this jury failed.
