It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

Growing Up





"I'm a little Kitten who's getting bigger each day
Slowly outgrowing the toys when the Pretty Little One plays
I'm even getting too big for her favorite Dolly's chair
Things aren't happening fast enough and it really isn't fair!

"There are things I want to smell and look at
But they are high up and far away, much better for a cat
Who can leap and climb with a mischievous grin
And nap on the big bookcase and feel sunlight seeping in

"There are goals I set and challenge every single day
But they don't have as much meaning since the Pretty Little One went away
Mother and the Big Ones say that she had a really bad tummy ache
But there didn't seem to be enough good medicine for her to take

"So, I'll sit and wait in this chair that's too small for me
I won't close my eyes, because I want to see
The Little Pretty One when she comes bustling through the door
Even though I know I'd be much more comfortable on the floor

"I must have dozed off, for my eyes open and slowly see
A familiar blanketed shape and blue eyes peeking out at me
I run and I leap as she holds me close to keep"
As I whisper, "I'm your Kitten, and you'll never be too big for me!"
