Ann Coulter...was definitely Fridays biggest draw at CPAC 2006.
From the get-go the conservative columnist had the crowd cheering and was frequently interrupted by applause.
Many of Coulters talking points came from recent news events -- such as the great Danish cartoon caper and President Bushs Supreme Court nominees.
Muslims are the only group who kill because people call them violent, she said of Islams rage over the printing of Muhammad cartoons.
Speaking about the nation's highest court, Coulter not only expressed elation at Justice Samuel Alitos confirmation, she also shared her feelings on Chief Justice John Roberts ...
She had fun impersonating Sen. Hillary Clinton, mocking Clintons MLK Day remarks on the slave plantation in the House of Representatives, adding: And you know what Im talkin about, girlfriend.
I can say that by the way, Coulter said. My party freed the slaves.
Democrats have three major planks, she explained: Abortion on demand, gay marriage and banning the Boy Scouts.
Someday theyll find a way to combine them all and figure out how to abort all future Boy Scouts.

The spiritual attack comes from all sides, Mary. Threads like this make it obvious that we need to continue in deep prayer for our President.
Thanks for your posts.
I don't agree with everything he's done
You guys really need to stop lying. It's getting really boring after all these years......
Lying? What did I lie about? If you disagree with the President on anything, show ANY independant thought, the bots come at you in force. It's proven time and again on Illegal Immigration threads and back in the Meiers debacle.
The 'bot' accusation is just a tool of a weak mind using a weak argument against something he can't grasp........respect and admiration for someone that doesn't require uniformity of thought with that person.
Saying that people who defend President Bush and his character agree with him on everything and will attack those who don't is a lie. Plain and simple.
I have no idea on your impotence, not my business...
Saying that people who defend President Bush and his character agree with him on everything and will attack those who don't is a lie. Plain and simple.
You can't judge anything by those threads.
As for Harriet Miers, those of us who said, "Let's wait and see about this" were pummelled by the Bush haters. It was a feeding frenzy and completely lacked any perspective on what was going on.
I've never been more ashamed in my life of this forum than I was by those who knifed Harriet Miers in their unbridled emotions.
From your lips to God's ears!
Let's have an honest discussion here, OK?
Certainly no one has a crystal ball. You could make the case the Scalia might still grow. However, I have complete confidence in Roberts, but I know many are waiting. Robert's background indicates he has been a conservative his whole life. I don't see that changing. Roberts could still disappoint us in some areas. I am thrilled that Roberts, Scalia, Thomas, and Alito have a 15 year age advantage over the four flaming liberals on the court. Unfortunately, we made need to win the Presidency in 2008 and improve our control of the Senate to get that all important 5th conservative vote.
Of course, you have already branded me a liar, so having an honest discussion is going to difficult but I'll try. I disagree with Bush on his idea that apparantly American sovereignty is a myth and anyone trying to enforce the myth is a vigilante. I disagree with the spending like a drunken Kennedy. Anyone think these are good things?
I don't find the posted info to be all that compelling as a statement against her, as you seem to intend it to be supportive of the claim she makes "baseless smears against good people" and none of the posted material seems to substantiate that charge. In fact, the most damning statement was merely a statement of opinion on the stop ann coulter site:
"...she appeared, throughout the evening, to be completely incapable of carrying herself as an intellectual. This isn't to say that she isn't smart. On the contrary, I think she knows full well that she distorts the truth and says
inflammatory things that can't be substantiated. This is precisely her draw, but it doesn't make her an intellectual - it makes her a propagandist."
I don't think she distorts the truth much at all or says many things that can't be substantiated, but she is a propagandist and I have some difficulty viewing her as a staggering intellectual in that role. Especially since while she is a decent one in writing, she is generally a less effective one in the Q&A sessions she seems to like holding on college campuses, and I don't understand why. She is generally great on TV, and one would think that would be as decent experience as you can get for such Q&A session. I think she's still quite useful even with her mediocre performance at colleges, because there is no other person willing to take that role, and conservatives must have at least a presence to remain part of college education. And I also think she's much more likely to get called on any errors she makes than Carville, her Rat equivalent. Certainly she's far more accurate than her accusers.
But as to the Gregory Kane screed on her--and it is a screed--his entire refutation of her book consists of statements (paraphrasing) that 'Halle Berry's hot and Ann's jealous' and 'the Klan started using the Confederate flag after Brown v. Board of education.' You may disagree with the woman, but the former statement doesn't put a dent into her comments that Berry didn't deserve an Oscar for Monster's Ball and would have gotten nowhere near it without the color of her skin, and the latter statement doesn't impact at all the fact that the neo-Confederates he so derides are not Klansmen--who waved the American flag too, and we hear no objection to flying that proudly, as Ann noted in her article.
And Roberts wife is a pro-life activist.
I am a strong Bush supporter and I was one of the loudest voices here calling for him to dump her nomination. I have great respect for the fact that Bush finally admitted that her nomination was a first-class blunder, and especially that he had the strength of character to remedy it by appointing Alito instead.
I have never been more proud in my life of the conservatives who worked night and day until that train wreck was averted. My list of heroes includes Ann Coulter, whose voice was clearly heard above the rest.
Liberal democrats too are bitterly disappointed that Miers was dumped and replaced by Alito. That should tell you all you need to know.
Ann is an attractive woman, but too skinny IMHO.
However, she is right 99% of the time, and I love how she consistently rips liberals new ones!
You obviously didn't get this memo (got this as an email a few weeks back):
Recently I received a warning about the use of this politically incorrect term, so please note, we all need to be more sensitive in our choice of words.
I have been informed the Islamic terrorists, who hate our guts and want to kill us, do not like to be called "Towel Heads", since the item they wear on their heads is not actually a towel, but in fact, a small folded sheet.
Therefore, from this point forward, please refer to them as "Little Sheet Heads."
Thank you for your support and compliance on this delicate matter.
