Witness: ABA does not "do politics."
Schumer: If someone out of the mainstream, ABA rating would not show that?

ABA interviewed over 2,000 people. The final report weighed 11 lbs.
And thanks to DiFi for asking a great question regarding the ABA listening for problems in Alito's testimony since hearings began. Answer: no problems detected. I'll bet Ted and Chuck etc. were just thrilled with this line of questioning.
Now, Schumer is now discrediting his former "Gold Standard." I love it.

Graham has been great this week. Graham would vote for Bush's impeachment. He should stay off the NSA and torture questions until he's in a forum where Bush can defend himself.

Surely Kennedy has to pay taxes on his senator's salary, doesn't he?

Depends.
On the Dem aisle their list of witnesses have the potential to do damage--to themselves. Might be better for them not to testify.
On Alito's side it bolsters his case for confirmation to have strong character witnesses that include ABA (known to be Leftward tilt in past), as well as sitting Liberal and Conservative Judges. The Dems want an excuse to filibuster, delay or vote no. These Judges, particularly the Liberal Judges on the Circuit, damage their excuse considerably. If anything, it takes an already strong hand and encases it in steel to have their testimony included.

I forget which lemming-o-crat objected to the idea of pro-Alito judges appearing before the committee.

He would never vote for President Bush's impeachment. He KNOWS he'll lose his seat if he does anything else like the stupid gang of 14 agreement. And I'm already working on that anyway.

LOL And I know what an 11 lb manual looks like. I have on my desk a 12 lb manual (double sided paper-- ask ABA if they printed only single sided)
