Day 4: Hearing Resumes
This morning, Senators will question Judge Alito during a third round. They will then go into a closed session, to review the FBI background investigation on the Supreme Court nominee. Outside witnesses may be called to testify this afternoon, as well as the American Bar Association, to discuss its recommendations.

Why didn't Alito say that was the stupidest thing he had heard of?
Feingold is going to question sitting appeals judges about their ethics because they are willing to give the committee sworn testimony about Alito? How could that possibly be a bad thing?
Schumer said his questions "should bother you, because they bother me". He meant I guess Alito's answers, but he got it right about his questions.
Figured he would get around to that sooner or later.
It's over. They have given up on trying to defeat this nominee and are looking for impeachment material on GWB.

The democrats are asking general questions instead of specific ones.
Alito has to either dodge those questions or ask for more specifics...that way he looks elusive.
