If it makes you feel any better, I'm still paying off my laptop. I bought it after my first computer crashed.

Our President looks great!!!! Handsome, confident, thoroughly enjoying himself. And you know he's keeping close tabs on the Alito hearings, and loving seeing the Dems making fools of themselves.

After listening to Kennedy, I usually need to go to confession... I usually feel strong confirmation that being a conservative Republican is absolutely right!

Kennedy just wanted to use the word "subpoena" to make things sound very serious. He's a joke.

I bet that's why the speech is now, so he wasn't competing with the hearings.

The king of privacy want to invade the privacy of Rusher's papers. But then again it's the LOC and that would be like Teddy giving a subpeona to himself?

Someone posted yesterday that they noticed that, when one becomes a Senator, he/she begins talking with multiple 'uhs' and 'ums'. It's "filler speech", and it is annoying. Laura Ingraham irritates me tremendously when she does it, which is too bad because she is otherwise excellent, and passionate for what she believes.
In all fairness, I think that - at least with me - the mind moves faster than the mouth, and especially in an arena where the spoken word is crucial, the tendency is to want to "fill" the air with some sound, rather than none, hence the "uh" or the "ah".

How about Specter responding,
"Senator Kennedy, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it." No, it's "Senator, we'll drive off that bridge when we come to it."

"Kennedy claims he asked for the records in that later and was denied" I'm a bit puzzled by this. It looks to me like the Rusher papers are available at the Library of Congress for anyone to research. Why is this subpoena necessary? Just a stall and delaying tactic, and a way for the dems to claim that the pubbies are hiding something?
