I want to hit him for saying that the President is spying on American citizens. We're listening to TERRORISTS. I don't know why they have trouble understanding that. They're not interested in Billy Bob's conversation with his grandmother.

I think that in listening to the Democrats today, we're listening to terrorists. (No, I do not wish to revise or extend my remarks.)

Time for old Teddy to take a leak and chug another pint of scotch.

What? Is he trying to drown his sorrows?

Okay here we go.. Sen Sessions for the fist time in the confirmation hearings has used the term SUPER DUPER.... I knew this was coming.. watch out for Sen Specter (and others) to suggest that Roe should be granted some sort of special standing in Judicial Precedent.. and attempt to the define precedent as being "SUPER" "SUPER DUPER" or "SUPER DUPER DUPER"

Is this what the judicial process has been reduced to?

Vermont makes any list as far as I am concerned. They have a real RINO who changed control of the Senate without an election, a 'Rat who leaked classified information from the Intelligence Committee, and an out-and-out socialist. Then there is Dean, who is considered a pro-business anti-environment sellout in the People's Republic of Burlington. All this from the 49th most populated state in the Union.

Update request. Has anyone asked Alito a question yet?

These are just the opening statements. My understanding is that questions start tomorrow. (More likely, more statements, with a "question" thrown in for procedure...)

Based upon Kohl's remarks, sounds liek this will be a straight party line vote in the committee..which will make the filabuster option harder for the Dems..

Maybe it was just my imagination, but wasn't Diane Feinstein somewhat reasonable at one time?? She is totally wacky now, in line with Boxer.

If they really loved her - like they claim - you would think that Alito would have been put on the fast track to confirmation, so that she could stay at home and care for her husband.

I've never understood Specter's using that phrase. It sounds too stupid for my eleven-year-old brother's vocabulary.

Don't forget the Burlington Judge last week that said he doesn't believe in punishment and gave a child molester 60 days.

"Maybe it was just my imagination, but wasn't Diane Feinstein somewhat reasonable at one time??"

Comparatively, she is the reasonable Senator from California.
