If they really loved her - like they claim - you would think that Alito would have been put on the fast track to confirmation, so that she could stay at home and care for her husband.
Good point. But her offer to stay on until another judge was confirmed gave dems the excuse to prolong the process, so she was really thinking of her dem friends more than her husband imo.
