Heck yeah, we're going to break the financial backs of the dem machine in California with propositions and in the end the results will be all good.

Once we remove more of the cancer of liberalism in California, the state will again be a power base for conservatism.

We can do this, it isn't that expensive and next time when they start early slanders, talk back against them and call them tricksters and taxation junkies.

Well San Francisco is one huge freak show (it and Oakland and Berkerly). But even then, most (even liberals) are not as cooky as them.

By the way, San Francisco...ONLY county to support Prop. 80. Now that TRUELY shows how out of step they are...even with the rest of the state! They also supported Prop. 79 too (though they are not alone here, since Alpine and Imperial supported it). But to be fair to them, San Francisco only supported Prop. 80 by 53%, but still, that's a majority!

Oh yeah, and they supposed the gun ban, AND a 'ban' of recruiters on campus. Well it isn't really a ban, more like an advisory since, San Francisco isn't completely dumb (they knew that if they really banned it, they would lose Federal funding).

And the leftist labor radicals spent perhaps as much as a quarter billion to stop Arnold's agenda. That's a HUGE silver lining. They can't keep doing that for very long. ;)

We're going to beat the Democrats in 2006 like a set of copper kettle drums. The positive results will be piling up by election day: 1) strong economy with lower energy costs and a stronger stock market, 2) Fed will have stopped raising interest rates by next Spring leading to lower mortgage rates and stabilization of home prices, 3) Reduced troop levels in Iraq and lots of celebrations as troops return home (a political must-have), 4) Successful democracy and reduced violence in Iraq, and 5) lower spending in Iraq and a reduced budget deficit.

In politics, nothing gets results like results. You gotta get results for your people and your supporters. Bush & Rove know this and next year we will rock. 2005 is the Dems's year to set themselves up to look stupid next year.

If current trends continue, they'll fall below 48%. I'm guessing 47.9% for 73 and 47.3% for 75. 75's getting killed in LA County.

To tell the truth, I no longer live in SF after having lived there for 25 years from 1978 to 1993. But when I lived there, it always was a wonderful sight to see the Gray Line tour buses come by my house and point out where one of the three conservatives lived.

I spend weekends at my Sacramento area home where a measure of semi-conservative sanity prevails, at least in my community. I live during the week in my apartment in beautiful, wealthy/communist Palo Alto, where people who just bought a $900,000, 1,000 sq ft fixer upper on 0.08 acres believe the government owes them everything.

I don't know what to call it (social socialism? social authoratarianism? - heh), but what you've described is not the "normal" definition of social liberalism. Just like what W and the Congress are doing right now is not the "normal" definition of fiscal conservatism.

Roger Hedgecock reminded Arnold on Tuesday afternoon (election day) that he has the line-item veto and that he needs to use it. Arnold said he plans to. Let's be sure to remind me in the coming year.

At least Arnold does know how to find his veto pen for some things. If we could just get him to lend one to Bush...

I can honestly say that I cast my first vote for
Nixon in '72 and for an R on the ballots of every presidential and state general election since then.

It wasn't always pretty when Ds won but somehow we have managed to survive and live to fight another day.

LA County's results keep getting worse. Perhaps my 47.9% prediction for 73 is too optimistic.
