This is why I don't understand the GOP and their avid support of all this illegal immigration... most of these people, once they reach second/third generation, are firm democrats.

With a massive turn out of unions and government democrat employees at the polls, guess who was voting to screw up California toward their own interest?

I don't accept that as the final word, lets do this all again in 2006.

We made the Dems and Unions spend almost 200 million on the propositions and on ruining Arnold's popularity (which he did not fight...dumb).
I think that more of the same should be on the ballot next election. More and more people will get educated and let the unions and government employees bankrupt themselves defending propositions against their corruption.

This should be just the start. Even if it takes a couple of election cycles, I think this is easily doable.

Back down to 49.6 percent. Los Angeles is coming in. And it doesn't look good.

No - he is a good person. It's a frustrating night, particularly for the fact that 73 is so close (and indeed is losing).

It brought out the worst in me, so I contributed.

Shake the sand from our sandals and move on - we have work to do. Tonight is not a disaster. But it's not a good night, clearly.

Acknowledging that is essential.

Al Rantel had his London sidekick on tonight (they do a LA-London simulast once a week), and he said the UK government ruled minors could get abortions, and a mother sued and it is making big waves.

My liberal friend who listens to NPR said that they had some debates on over the past few weeks, and that "both sides of the argument had very good points." The other side really plays up the farfetched example of the girl raped by her parent, or the girl whose parent might kill her if he thought she were pregnant. First of all, the girl in the first example would be taken from the home if she could tell a teacher or other safe adult. And the second girl doesn't exist and never has.

Big LA County #s just rolled in and they are dragging the overall numbers back down again.

Make that 49.7. But still...not good.

I'm down about 73 tonight, but at least the people decided and not judges. You win some, you lose some. That's a bitter loss, but the people had their say.

We just have to convince more of them to see things our way! ;-)

How do you plan to resolve these issues.

All government jobs are unionized. Mass exodus of businesses leaving California. Large amount of state funds cannot be accounted for. Democrat stronghold in all seats of government except Gov, but that will soon change. Low bond rating due to state debt. Resources cannot be used because of environment wackos. California's real estate market has gone absolutely nuts. The only thing exported is liberalism and bad movies. You don't have any electricity. If you do, it's for only five minutes. Kids are brainwashed in public school to hate everything moral and righteous. Open elections to anybody especially the dead. Wall to wall gays and increasing. Any behavior is encourage except praying. Heterosexuals are deviants. Marriage is frowned upon unless your the same sex.

Looks like you have a lot of work to do and you shouldn't be wasting precious time answering me!

73 being close is loathsome. Losing is beyond words.

You're much too cynical tonight.

Okay, I'll bite. How is it possible to be a "fiscal Conservative" and a "social Liberal" at the same time? Hell, Arnold gives a 10% budget hike to the Dems and they scream that it's a "budget cut" because he didn't give them the 20% increase that they wanted. I'd like to see a "fiscal Conservative / social Liberal" make it in that environment.

75 will fail. It's getting creamed in LA county, and 3 Bay Area counties are 75% or more out, while Orange and San Diego are only 50% out. San Bernadino might help, but it doesn't look good.

73 will likely lose too.

73 is a bit stunning since polls saw a victory for it. Some anti-73 moron on KFI calling it a "dangerous law" and says its failure says great things for the "intelligence of the voters and their compassion."

Blame those who sat on their hands and didn't go vote.

Shame on them.

Don't worry. If it does happen to pass, it WILL be decided by the judges.
