MD4BUSH Asked To Come Forward
WBAL - TV (Baltimore, MD) ^ | November 7, 2005

Posted on 11/07/2005 5:20:04 PM PST by tgslTakoma

BALTIMORE -- For the first time, the operators of a California-based Web site are revealing they have evidence that an e-mail address from the Maryland Democratic State Party is associated with MD4BUSH.

WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team reporter David Collins said the operators of FreeRepublic.com are not revealing the name behind MD4BUSH. But this is the first time that they are suggesting the state democratic party is associated with the MD4BUSH account on their Web site.

Jim Robinson, the president of the conservative Web site, issued the following statement: "Free Republic has evidence that an mddems.org (Maryland Democratic Party) e-mail address is associated with the MD4BUSH account. This is not just coincidence."

They also call on the account holder to come clean.

Free Republic has the electronic trail associated with the saga of MD4BUSH.

(SNIP)

Last week, the name of Ryan O'Doherty, a former official with the state Democratic Party who left that job in January, surfaced publicly in connection with the MD4BUSH mystery. That happened when the governor's lawyer forwarded an e-mail with O'Doherty's name on it to the committee investigating the governor's firing practices.

(SNIP)

The I-Team caught up with O'Doherty outside the Baltimore Metropolitan Council, where's he's held a newly created job for the past nine months. The agency is publicly funded, with close ties to the mayor and county executives.

O'Doherty is a friend of Steve Kearney, one of the mayor's top aides. Sources said Kearney first tried to get O'Doherty hired in City Hall. Kearney told 11News he couldn't remember if he provided any help.

Collins reported in response to Free Republic's disclosure, Josh White, the executive director of the state Democratic Party, said how could anyone take the word of a right-wing Website that wants nothing more than to help the governor.

Oy. FR is certainly approaching the line. I hope they have wise counsel advising them not to cross it.

Josh, my dear, this is a Republican website

Actually it's a CONSERVATIVE website. Most here tend to support Republicans because they are the more conservative of the two parties. But FR is not a "Republican" website.

MD4BUSH has clearly violated site policy for the purpose of publicly attacking another poster. I think there is justification to make certain information public.

The Maryland Dems have refuse to allow the Republicans on the investigation committee subpeona power and the Washington Post and the Md. Democratic Party are doing their best to cover up and kill this story.

But, I agree that they need to be careful.

Yes, my friend, I have been thoroughly boxed about the ears for that slip of the keyboard, have apologized, been forgiven (I believe), and promise never to be so careless again :)

MD4BUSH has clearly violated site policy for the purpose of publicly attacking another poster.

Last night, I had a dream about the violations of site policy, as well as Federal law... Kristinn was standing before the cameras and announcing...

"If he has clicked,
you must convict!"

Are they really that stupid? 131 posted on 11/07/2005 9:47:39 PM EST by cubram

[Cheshire Cat Smile]

Possibly, like liberal ideology in general, it was not all that carefully thought through. Signing up for an FR handle may have started out as curiosity prompted by the attention focused on conservatives bloggers by the MSM and only gradually evolved into "Oh, boy, let's see how much damage we can do..." Sort of like a Beavis and Butthead type running excitedly with a lit M80 in his hand that he then forgets to throw. That may be pretty close to the truth about liberals in general. You can see what is going to happen and when the firecracker explodes in the liberal's hand only he (or she) is surprised.
