McPain is so far in the middle that he doesn't stand for anything. Let's see how wishy-washy that he will be on the filibuster.
How do you know? That would be really good news.
Happy Scalitoween! To the Knife on this one.
The grunts in Nebraska should put ton and ton of pressure on Hagel... Make this guy feeling the heat.
No chance on any Dem? Not even someone like Liberman?
Trick or Treat
I have to say that I am really disappointed in the Republican women....I don't think that ANY of them is pro-life...in the conservative sense of the word...
Some may vote for a ban on partial birth abortion...but, I haven't gotten the impression that any of them are hard pro-lifers...
He has no choice IMHO but to support Alito but he will get all the facetime he can with his wishy washy stance. He still hasn't figured out that he needs to get through Republican primaries not the RAT/media primaries.
Hagel has only hope of embarassing his sorry butt in 08.
Being for Alito and being fot the nuclear option are two completely different matters. I have no doubt Specter and McCain are for Alito but McCain will throw him overboard on the nuclear option vote and the key question is what will Specter do.
Last time Fox News reported that Specter was going to vote against the nuclear option.
That would mean we would need both Warner and Hagel. Warner is old schoool and has stabbed us in the back many times before like on Bork and Oliver North. Hagel was also spouting dem party lines on the nuclear option last time too.
RNC Research sent out an email this morning. He said he will not officially endorse but that is as close to an endorsement that you can get. They go way back it looks like to Specter prosecutor days.
Happy Scatioween to you to!!!
I think that Bush have us a treat....and tricked the demweenies again...just like Lucy pulling the football out from under Charlie Brown, yet again...LOL
Ben Nelson is up for re-election, and I heard him on TV today...and he said that when he was Governor of Nebraska, he helped get a parental notification and 48 hour waiting period legislation passed...
SO.....he is one dem that could be on board.
I hope that's what Frist and the WH are telling McPain, not just us peons. I also hope they're telling Specter if he likes that chairmanship, a vote for the Nuke Option is required.
Iowa or Ne.?
Nelson's vote is meaningless. He is the only dem that will vote against the fillabuster but that only leaves us with 56 votes.
If the vote comes to the floor we win so we don't need Nelson.
The key vote is on the nuclear option and Ben Nelson being a dem is against the nuclear option.
Absolutely -- the Nebraska folks need to go after Hagel on this one!
ROFLOL!!! No kidding! RATs are definitely not having a good Halloween today and tonight!
