A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

WHY GOD MADE PETS
They help out around the house....
They protect our children.....
They look out for the smaller ones....
They show us how to relax....
They "converse" with each other....
They help you when you're down
They are great at decorating for the Holidays
They are Patriotic!
Okay...we've gotton here AND we hope you have a smile on your face. Hope this "solidifies" it. Have a great day and Don't forget to "SMILE"!
Smiles
SMILES
Verse: Dear -ie, now I know just what makes me love you so, Just what holds me and en -folds me in its gold -en glow; Dear -ie, now I see 'tis each smile so bright and free, For life's sad -ness turns to glad -ness when you smile on me;
Chorus: There are smiles that make us hap -py, There are smiles that make us blue; There are smiles that steal a -way the tear -drops As the sun -beams steal a -way the dew; There are smiles that have a ten -der mean -ing That the eyes of love a -lone may see, And the smiles that fill my life with sun -shine Are the smiles that you give to me.
Okay...sing-along time!!! (unless your freeping at work!)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are smiles that make us hap -py,
There are smiles that make us blue;
There are smiles that steal a -way the tear -drops
As the sun -beams steal a -way the dew;
There are smiles that have a ten -der mean -ing
That the eyes of love a -lone may see,
And the smiles that fill my life with sun -shine
Are the smiles that you give to me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!! - Love - Giz and Friends

Oh, you lucky duck. I wish I could always have a kitten in the house. I am thinking of fostering mama kitties for the humane society at some point, just so I can have the babies around.
Every tiny thing about them just makes me melt. And when they sleep, and they make little balls of kitty, I just can't leave em alone.
I have three kitties right now, all pictured on my page. The oldest ( a stray who wandered up in June), is almost a year. He's already in obnoxious teenager stage!

Every tiny thing about them just makes me melt.I know what you mean. I love watching her sleep. Lainey has really developed an adorable personality just in the past couple of weeks.
It's entertaining when she plays with her little mice. I'll throw one down the hall for her and she brings back to me in her tiny little mouth.
I often wonder what she's doing when I'm not home.
To: MotleyGirl70
I hope she has a kitty buddy!
I'm lucky. I'm a stay at home mom, so I get to be here all day surrounded by kitty lovin'. I love the little buggers. Can't imagine my life without a kitty.

No, Lainey doesn't hava a kitty buddy yet.
She likes to take her cat naps on my wool sweater. It's nice and warm for her.

Kiss her little baby neck for me!!!!!!!
And not to put you on a guilt trip or anything, but YOU GOTTA GET HER A FRIEND!!!!!!!
One is cute, but watching two be friends is really entertaining, and quite endearing.

Meet Mortimer, the latest addition to Case Del Gato. He of course is no gato, but what he is half Schnauzer, half Catahoula Spotted Leopard dog.
He's actually Senora La Gata's pero, but he sort of seems to like El Gato too. Slept right at my feet the first day. He's 9 pounds or so, 10 weeks old (now 11), and did not have any accidents the first 36 hours we had him, and is now sleeping all night. He's been staying with our daughter, for logistical reasons, but will get to see his new home on Sunday.

I am getting a red x. Try right clicking on the "X", select "show properties", then copy the address from the resulting window, paste it back into the browser address window, and hit enter. If the image then displays (did for me) then hit "back" and it should then also be displayed in the thread. On some browsers (Mozzilla) the right click will give you the option of copying the address for the picture, in which case do that and paste into the browser window.

You get him fulltime Sunday. Need to give us an update!!!! Actually my wife gets him full time. Due to employment considerations, we live about 3 1/2 hours apart. But I'm closer to our daughters and new granddaughter (5 mo), so she comes here more often than I go there. In fact she spent much of the summer with me, since she only works as necessary during the summer, being an educator, and since the Amazing Miss V, was even smaller then.

Why did God make pets?
Because He knew that some humans would fail miserably at loving those who need it most.

Thanks for that. I'm going to go and give my 92lb GS girl dog a hug now and hope she doesn't lick my face off.
