The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.

It could have been a disaster -- Thank God the bomb blew up early. I almost freaked when my son's fraternity brother said he was going out of the stadium to go get something from the house right before halftime and the explosion went off and he felt the heat. He also saw two people running toward the stadium and he said he took off running toward the fraternity house.
The odd thing is that my daughter and I were talking that the security checking bags tonight was cursory. They hardly looked in my bag or her purse and the two women sitting next to us said they didn't even have then open their purses. Bet at the next game, we will be lucky to carry anything in the stadium.
Do they have cameras at all entrances and exits, so the two persons of interest (funny that a Persian girl should profile them) may have been caught on tape?

I think this probably explains why security people working for the Pittsburgh Steelers are patting down everyone entering their stadium for games this year.

This was no pipe bomb -- the person got blown into small pieces and it was LOUD in the stadium. The first news reports said they couldn't tell if it was a man or woman that was blown up.

the reason this happened in OK is not because they chose that location out of the blue - its because they already had an installed base of people there from the past which facilitated the logistics required to pull it off.
you may not care about why this location was chosen, but the people investigating it will surely be looking at its significance.
