The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Home grown Islamists may hit US: FBI chief

WASHINGTON -- The United States could be attacked by "home grown" Islamist terror groups, the FBI's chief has warned.

FBI Director Robert Mueller told the London Financial Times newspaper in an interview published Thursday that the United States could face attacks from "home-grown terrorism" very similar to the July 7 bombings in London that killed 52 people and wounded another 700, Mueller said.

When asked if the United States could face such attacks from "home-grown groups", Mueller answered emphatically: "Absolutely, it could," the Financial Times said.

Local news was reporting this morning that the informant had given the FBI several names, one of whom is sleeping with the informant's girlfriend. Revenge may be a motive.

Off Topic:

For those animal lovers here at TM...please keep me in your prayers over the next few days. Our beloved dalmatian Domino who is 14 years old is getting to the point where we are carrying him outside to go to the bathroom. My husband proposed to me 14 years ago when Domino was an eight week-old puppy with a big red ribbon and an engagement ring around his neck...hmmm...I guess he was making sure I would say yes. Anyway, for those who have been through this before, you probably know just how difficult this is. Probably in the next two days we will be putting him down, if he doesn't pass away on his own. He is such a big part of our family...I always call him our first child. Thankfully our two sons are, so far, dealing with this pretty well. All I know is that 14 years passed by at lightening speed. So give all of your beloved pets an extra hug today.

all4one, this is just SO heartbreaking. I know well the feeling and the agonies you are experiencing. I have had one cat vanish without a trace; one cat suddenly just die in the house and had to put one cat to sleep....all within the last year. Three years before we put our beloved Newfoundland dog, Nana, to sleep. She lived 12.3 years which is something of a record for a giant breed dog. We do treat our four leggeds as our kids. Their loss is wrenching. Now our newest newfie pup turned six months last week and the other newfie will be four years old soon. Yes, I will hold them both extra close this day. I always said that the big slobbery kisses of a newfie are just as healing as kisses from Jesus. THat's why D-O-G spelled backward is G-O-D because they love you no matter what.

I found solace in the belief that a loving God (I'm praying for you) will provide for all our needs in Heaven, and so I am convinced that we will see our beloved pets again. They'll be young and frisky and so will we! We'll all be at play in the fields of the Lord.

I'm watching this and hoping they don't put my inner city high school on a lock down. That'd be typical knee jerk reaction to an event that's happening over thirty blocks away.

I also hate it when any body with a gun and shooting from a building is automatically a sniper. Some of the guys I know are the real deal and if they were in that window, half the police force would be dead by now, including the SWAT guys. So far this bozo has capped off exactly one round from a weapon that is unkown and is probably a handgun and he's a sniper. Sheeeesh.

I know many of you have been praying for Laurie Roth's full recovery from the motorcycle-deer accident she had a couple of months ago.

I just got off the phone with Laurie. She's home from the hospital and sounds wonderful. She's making a very quick, very full recovery. She thanks everyone for their prayers.

She plans to be back on the air doing her show in January.

She does want to clear up one thing however. The rumors that she hit a deer are untrue. She is an animal lover, and would never have done anything of the sort. She says that the deer hit her. <SMILE>

DHAKA - Police in Bangladesh uncovered on Wednesday a workshop
for manufacturing small bombs on the top floor of a mosque in the
northeastern Sylhet city, a television news channel said.

Police raided the mosque belonging to the banned group Jamiatul
Mujahideen and seized a large quantity of explosive material,
batteries, wires and other materials used in making crude explosive
devices, the privately-run ATN channel reported.

First off I cannot tell you how agonizing all these natural (?) disasters have been, just one right after another- what (2?) quakes in Tokyo now? What's going on in Mass, LA and now Florida!
