I'm losing hope, that we can avoid CWII,,,
There are just too many dangerously ignorant bastards, calling themselves American Democrats --- that are really the "enemy within"....

I think you need something stronger than that. Don't know what--just something.

This will be the most important nomination in the last fifty years, at least.
May God have mercy on our beloved nation.

Well, she won't apologize anyway.
See the post under yours.
I do NOT like someone yelling at me for what a slime troll said.
Gets me really ticked.

Where can I find this dead pool? I need to enter...somebody named Van Dyke. :(

that sounds good to me, but i'll bet rove is thinking more obtusely than that. i hate to say it, but there are a lot of opportunities open to the president because of the storm reconstruction that wouldn't be there otherwise in terms of working the nominee through the beltway. i know how cynical that is, but that's how things work on the potomac.

I think the rhetoric coming out of the RATs is going to be hysterical. They are not having a good night! They have a dingbat for Governor of LA and an incompetent for Mayor of NO and now this!

No, Rehnquist had not been a judge before. But he was a Past President of the American Bar Association. That was before lib-Dem lawyers fouled the nest of the ABA.

Like hell.
Replacing a conservative Justice with a younger constitutionalist judge, and establishing a constitutionalist for decades as Chief Justice, is NOT bad for Conservatives. I have no idea what your thought process is on that.
To: scottinoc
Three words: Janice Rogers Brown No problem here. Actually, those who pray, should bump up the prayers for President Bush...cause now it's not just two confirmation battles, it's three--the Chief Justice is a separate confirmation.
BTW, I just found a book today on The Federalist Papers (actually it's a book OF The Federalist Papers) for $10 at Barnes & Liberal...one to add to my collection. I'm interested to read what it says about the Judiciary (78-82).

i agree. there is no way anything good for the libs can come out of this. i think the congress is likely to go a lot more easily on bush right now than it might have otherwise.

I doubt the Dimms can hold up any nomination---with their usual conservative bashing --- and survive the 06 elections.
The elections are too close.
