Justice Janice Rodgers Brown?

I just like the sound of Chief Justice Scalia. Me too. And, didn't Scalia go to the bench with unanimous confirmation?

Could you imagine the convulsions dems would go into if Ginsburg were to keel over in the next month or two?

Wow,
I was commenting to my wife about this yesterday, how President Bush has had so much on his plate during his term with 9/11, 2 elections, Katrina, Iraq, John Roberts, and now Chief Justice William Rhenquist has died.
God Bless his family in this difficult time, may they be consoled with the thought that he was a True Hero.
Prayers up.
Regards,
Joe

If the President has accepted her resignation, can O'Connor rescind it? She will not do that now. The Chief was her best friend on the court (in fact they dated in college!). She would not want to be there without him.

I wake up thinking what's next. This is almost too much to take in. All I know is that words cannot sum up what is on that man's shoulders now.

He fought to the end and even Greta admits his death will tip the scales to a conservative court since the President appointed a conservative to replace O'Connor. Bet you will see Kennedy voting more and more with Scalia and Thomas.

Pray for President Bush, he sure has a lot on his plate. My thought too, and yet, he still walks straight, with that cowboy swagger. I don't always agree with everything he says, but I am sure glad he's the President!

Beyond 250+ posts into this thing, can I say a few things that are cold?
I'm not surprised that he passed on, though I certainly extend condolences to anyone reading these words.
O'Connor resigned effective upon replacement....unfortunately giving Congressional leftists excuse to (with her cooperation) delay Roberts until they get a "combo platter."
Cindy Shaheen just fell from "#41 on your countdown" to "what ever happened to..." status. Good riddance.
Thank God Laura Ingraham is expected back soon.
