Where is Shelia Jackson Lee as people pour into Houston?
Houston Chronicle ^ | September 3, 2005

Posted on 09/03/2005 5:18:43 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

I've searched but can not find news of Rep Shelia Jackson Lee.

She represents the 18th Congressional District in the city of Houston, TX.

Why isn't Shelia in the Astrodome meeting, greeting and helping the victims from New Orleans, alongside the rest of the Houston volunteers?

You probably know some things about her that I don't, but my impression was that she is dangerous precisely because she is articulate. Articulate, leftist, and utterly wrong.

I don't like her, but I never considered her ignorant. You may have seen evidence, but I have not personally seen it, and I don't want to make the mistake that Democrats make with Bush, of underestimating my opponents. They call him a dunce and a chimp, and he beats them again and again and again. They say he can't speak, and then he does okay in a debate and wins because they set expectations so low. They say he can't speak, and then he makes one of the greatest speeches of the last 100 years.

Lee has no time for the hoi polloi ... they don't have money so they don't make campaign contributions and they don't usually vote anyway.

"...and they don't vote, either"

- I was watching the movie "starship troopers" the other day and despite the movie being mostly hokey and dumb, there was one part that caught my attention. There was a legal and personal rights destinction made between civilian and citizen. To become a citizen was a great honor and very hard process that demanded a high level of commitment and proficiency but was rewarded with rights and opportunities that ordinary civilians didn't have.

I began thinking that a system like this might not be a bad idea.

All morning long on the television and everywhere it is the blame/racist game. I can't take anymore. I am totally defeated. Give them the stupid country and seen what they can do with it.

Just wait until NO starts to rebuild and the black population goes from 76% to 0 and the people with insurance come back in and are mostly white. "Can't we all just get along"??????????

The newest TD is named Maria.

Sorry Shelia, I will do my best to stay away from any area that is not predominately black.

I hope she is held accountable for her hindrance in improving race relations. She only incites more divisiveness. Peacemaker she is not.

I'd also like to see her get her butt down there to the Astrodome and roll up her sleeves and help out. The fine citizens of Texas have shown amazing and admirable hospitality - no thanks to her.

"All racial groups should be represented," Lee said, according to the Hill. She hoped federal weather officials "would try to be inclusive of African-American names."

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas

"We are one, we Americans, and we reject any intruder who seeks to divide us by race or
class. We honor cultural identity. However, separatism is not allowed. Separatism is not
the American way. And we should not permit ideas like political correctness to become
some fad that could reverse our hard-won achievements in civil rights and human rights.
Xenophobia has no place in the Democratic Party. We seek to unite people not divide
them and we reject both white racism and black racism. This party will not tolerate
bigotry under any guise. America's strength is rooted in its diversity.

You would need the Jaws of Life to pry Her Highness Queen Sheila out of her limo too. She won't even walk one or two blocks in D.C. according to a story about her a few years ago.

We Can't Blame White People

by BILL COSBY

They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.

I can't even talk the way these people talk:

Why you ain't,

Where you is,

What he drive,

Where he stay,

Where he work,

Who you be...

And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk.

Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads.

You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth. In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around.

The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.

These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what? And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.
I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.

Where were you when he was 2? Where were you when he was 12? Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?
And where is the father? Or who is his father?

People putting their clothes on backward: Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?

People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something?

Or are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up?

Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?

What part of Africa did this come from? We are not Africans.
Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa.
With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap, and all of them are in jail.

Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem.

We have got to take the neighborhood back.

People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.
We have millionaire football players who cannot read.
We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs.
We as black folks have to do a better job.
Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.
We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.

We cannot blame the white people any longer.

"Wait till Sunday"

See, the Sunday news shows had best be REAL careful about lambasting Whites, Asians, and others who are not Black and/or poor or displaced if the liberal culture wants a long term effort to support rebuilding. Offending the hand extended turns that hand away.

Yep, that's the story I was obliquely referencing.

WEeeeellll, then. I have a great idea!

Let's change the name of Hurricane Katrina to "Hurricane Kayne"

(slow load, but well worth the wait)

Thanks for posting that. I have never seen the whole text before. What a breath of fresh, clean, unvarnished, truthful air.
