Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
Once more since Cindy doesn't like this phrase :)
Our people forgot to read the fine print.
Protest Warrior's sign was great.
It was just a misunderstanding.
KEEP IT THERE! Trust me, I also just moved. Out to the boonies....no cable. No big deal. I watch old movies on DVD and get news over internet. Done deal.
I mean, look at this thread, for example. People SCREAMING because the MSM is not covering a REAL and HUGE story?? Hello? What that tellsme is that the MSM product is crap, and that if you DO allow yourself to watch it, you will get a warped image of reality.
I agree with the hippies on at least one point, "Kill your TV!"
If you work something out re the DVD or streaming please freep me I would love to see it.

The Latest From Crawford
Pro-America protesters are descending on Crawford, Texas to counter Cindy ("America is not worth dying for") Sheehan, Michael (the terrorists are "Iraq's Minutemen") Moore, Al Sharpton, and other far-left publicity hounds. The Associated Press has an account (via Power Line News) that mentions the Protest Warriors, whose encounter with the pro-America group was tense, for a moment, until the pro-Americans realized that the Protest Warriors were on their side. We talked to one of the Protest Warriors on our radio show this afternoon, live from the Minnesota State Fair. He was calling from Crawford, and related the same story that is repeated by the AP.
Documentary filmmaker Andrew Marcus of Chicago is in Crawford to cover the action; his site Lights Camera Protest has some good photos. Andrew notes the lavish funding that supports Sheehan's publicity stunt: "Michael Moore and Ben from Ben and Jerrys can sure afford a pretty big tent!"
Gene Allen, who has been in Crawford a number of times over the past few months, adds:
I got a call from Kelly in Crawford. 3000 people met Not In My Name tour in Wal-Mart parking in Waco for a rally this AM and caravaned to Crawford for large rally downtown. One mom reached her son via phone in Iraq and crowd went nuts.
I'd be curious to know what the soldier in Iraq thinks of Michael Moore, Al Sharpton, Ben and Jerry and Cindy (America is "morally repugnant") Sheehan.
We'll keep you updated as we get more information.
Agreed
Well looky there. She went to the same school I went to. Austin Peay.
These did nothing of the sort, not today. These were political sigs befitting of an election, not the emotional rally of today.
See post 2233 :-)
That being said, and I understand emotions were high- it is not cool to rip up anyone's sign-even if it were truly a leftist - they could have just been escorted off.
Live and learn- at least no one was hurt.
Creepy, because it looks so real....I bet ole Bin Ladin is getting lonely, if he is still alive, that is.
As a plant, right? He didn't convert to Cindy's crowd because of this?
She's only going to Memphis in your state.
