The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is holding a rally in Crawford, Texas today to show America's support for our troops, President Bush and the war on terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.
The rally will be held at noon at the Crawford Civic Center at 1000 4th Street.
Freepers are coming from near and far to join the H.O.T. Chapter in Crawford. If you live within four hours drive of Crawford, it's not too late to hit the road and get on down there.
Folks in attendance will be calling in to me, Brad's Gramma and Jeff Head with live updates from the scene. I am told that cellphone coverage in Crawford is spotty. However, it may have gotten better of late.
We'll see.
Hat's off to Basil, Doctor Raoul, The Sarce and 2ndAmendmentMama (and anyone else) who've been scrambling the past two days to make this happen. Good luck!
Go, gang, go. May the Freep be with you.
Leni
I agree with both of you. Let's hope Cindy and her fellow glory hog, America-hating, military-hater creeps are upstaged and exposed for what they are.
If it's a big FReeper showing... they'll drop the Crawford 'coverage' and loop the NARAL ad to fill the slot.
That is perfect.
Wow, some of the DUmmies are talking about one of my posts right now! I had no idea that they hung on every word that we said.
What a cess pool, though. I think I'm going to take a shower now.
I find it interesting that the DUmmies and other assorted leftists only support the families of soldiers who spit on their soldier's grave. Most of the moonbats that I know personally have made a point to denigrate my soldier husband, even when they knew he was deployed in Iraq. I guess the moonbats only love dead soldiers, and only love the families of soldiers that show hatred for that way of life.
If people find out she is attached to MoveOn, Michael Moore, Code Pink, etc...and that she is openly stating that our nation is not worth dieing for and thus sullying her own brave son's sacrificew...they will see through the sham.
Each of us, in our own spheres of influence, has to do all we can to inform people of that. IO wrote a Open Letter to Mrs. Sheehan yesterday. I doubt she will ever readd it...but I know by the volume of email I have been getting (a lot of it hateful, angry screed from the left...but some good, inquisitive emails as well.
Here's a link to my letter:
You are welcome...hope we can get some pics soon and that things go well for our people there.
Umm, could you please edit out the vulgarities when you post from DU?
I just hit the Abuse and asked that it be removed. I'm sorry, I forgot. It's only 11:30am here and already 90 degrees so my head is boiling and not functioning.
Big thank yous to all the Freepers traveling great distances to Crawford today for the rally; and a great big THANK YOU to all the Freepers on the ground in Texas who worked to put this rally together on such short notice.
EAGLES UP !!
With your picture posting skills, I didn't want you to miss this...the new official Cindy Sheehan Logo. LOL.
South Florida Freeper with you in spirit!
The next BIG QUESTION is - will the MSM have the intellectual honesty to report on the rally supporting the troops, our country and our president?
Time will tell...
This was mentioned and shown on Fox and Friend this morning. The fact that it was pro troops and countering the Cindy Sheehan protest was also mentioned.
Richard St. Clair, left, of Canton, along with Ray and Darlene Holcomb, of Lewisville, show their support for President Bush across the street from the camp of Cindy Sheehan near Crawford, Texas, Friday, Aug. 12, 2005.

Excellent point...and another interesting one-
someone earlier asked if Casey's (life insurance) was funding this and I think it should be reiterated...these folks have been down there all week? Are they taking vacation or sick days?
I'm ready for some news! and interestingly, will need to take 'leave' shortly for a funeral.
Godspeed all on their way to Support our Troops!
I am in Alabama. God bless all of you. It would be a long trip for me, too..
