The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is holding a rally in Crawford, Texas today to show America's support for our troops, President Bush and the war on terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.
The rally will be held at noon at the Crawford Civic Center at 1000 4th Street.
Freepers are coming from near and far to join the H.O.T. Chapter in Crawford. If you live within four hours drive of Crawford, it's not too late to hit the road and get on down there.
Folks in attendance will be calling in to me, Brad's Gramma and Jeff Head with live updates from the scene. I am told that cellphone coverage in Crawford is spotty. However, it may have gotten better of late.
We'll see.
Hat's off to Basil, Doctor Raoul, The Sarce and 2ndAmendmentMama (and anyone else) who've been scrambling the past two days to make this happen. Good luck!
Do you think we could get the people from "Diva on a Dime" and "What Not to Wear" to give this poor woman a makeover? I bet she'd feel a lot better about herself if she didn't look quite so much like she lives in a ditch.
Oh wait, she DOES live in a ditch.
For the record..... The DC chapter had a permit to demonstrate on the strip of Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White house for most of the 90's.
The great guys from the DC Chapter and their FReeper guests from around the country got out the message that Clinton was an American abomination every Saturday from 10:00 till 2:00.
Since october 31, 1998 there have been FReepers in the streets all across America. The current effort is an extension of those efforts.
AmericaSupportsYou.com is the government's site that lists all the small ones that have support the troops missions.
Additionally, you can come visit us at proudpatriots.org. By way of disclosure, I'm their president...
Don't insult noble Eeyore by linking him to that liar!
No, at least not the whole group. We were several miles from there. Some of the FR crowd may have "wandered" over to there later in the day, so it depends in part on when the video was shot.
Didn't see it, but Dr. Raol is the guy standing in the pickup bed in the second photo of Post #1050.
What's the problem with wanting Trump for President (2008)? He's a capitalist. He doesn't want Hitlary. He was one of us - probably more of an independent but definitely anti-left.
Who should he want for President 2008? I want Condoleezza Rice President 2008. Who do you want? LOL
This is the 3 tours in Iraq guy from the 1st Cav, mentioned earlier. That's his red SUV in the background. The purple heart decal on the back window is obscured by the Texas flag, but that's his too.
So good to see the pictures of you and all the others who went to Crawford to show support for our troops and their Commander in Chief.
Maybe more like Comandante Sheehan.
Looking through this thread this morning of your great participation in the rally yesterday (thanks for the pings)... and I saw this. I hate to compete with other groups and sites that support the troops, but if you would like to do something to help, our small group here at FR sends pocket knives, sheath knives, and other useful tools to the troops as tokens of our appreciation. The program is very popular with the troops, and we would sure appreciate your help!
Please support our Hobbit Hole Pocket knives for the troops project.
FR thread here: Help us support our troops!
Sheehan drew protestors, and the protestors drew counter-protestors. It seems to me that all Sheehan has accomplished is to further divide our nation.
Her son's sacrifice will someday receive its due place in our nation's honorable history; but in the meantime, his exploiters have reduced him to little more than "the dead son of Cindy Sheehan".
Is that you TASMANIANRED? If so, you have gorgeous hair!
But just so you'll know, I'm the big guy in the Red (Nebraska!) hat, white shirt, and blue pants. (Later I switched to my blue Air Force hat)
I just back online a little while ago and was hoping to have an explanation from him waiting for me, but.....
