FAMILY OF FALLEN SOLDIER PLEADS: PLEASE STOP, CINDY! Thu Aug 11 2005 12:56:21 ET
The family of American soldier Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, has broken its silence and spoken out against his mother Cindy Sheehan's anti-war vigil against George Bush held outside the president's Crawford, Texas ranch.
The following email was received by the DRUDGE REPORT from Casey's aunt and godmother:
Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish. Thanks Ð Cherie
In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:
The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.
Sincerely,
Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
Developing..
Yeah, except for the fact that she met with the President last year, heard him talk about the mission, and was satisfied with his answers.
BTTT
Thanks for posting the link. It explains a lot. Anyone who thinks "the main stream media is such a propaganda tool for the government" is a little confused.
It sounds as though it is CASEY's paternal grandparents, her husband's parents, and his family, who are mortified by her actions. Conspicuously absent in all this is her husband, Patrick. I guess he's at home with their two other kids.
I was concerned about them. I was wondering where the family was. This Cindy woman is destroying her sons name, and it seemed odd there were no family members around to save it.
Best pal of the anti-war left. Will be dating Michael Moore soon.
I believe Greta has moved to Aruba till she solves the Holloway case.
BTTT!
That's what I mean! :-)
My mother was the same when I went to Vietnam. She screamed at me for joining the Army. You will go to Vietnam and come back dead. I thanked her for all the support and walked out.
I have said this before here but I think the money she is wasting could be put to a better use like paying for her kids and future grand kids education. Or she could have donated this money to a good cause. Instead she wants to waste it protesting our president who isn't up for going to be up for reelection again and isn't going to change his mind about Iraq. So much good could have been done with the money from her sons death but it is sadly all about her.
If you have already seen it sorry, but I felt it was ping worthy.
She's hooked up with the left wing propagandist Michael Moore. I think it was on O'Reilly?
There's money in it for her. It appears she no longer thinks about her son. It's all about her and her fame now.
All freepers should do the same.

What a tough gig.;)
LOL
What did she say to you when you got back?
BTTT
I told you you would get killed!! I was wounded and in the hospital at Fort Benning, GA at the time. My brother was with her. He said, "Mamma, he's not dead, just wounded." She cursed me every day of my military life for being in the service. Said I would never amount to anything in the military, that no one did. I asked her if she thought her brother James wasted his life. She said, no, James was a good Christian and had a fine family. I said, "Mama, Uncle James died just before he retired from the Air Force after 30 years." Then when it came near my time to retire, she was telling everyone how "smart" I was to stay in the military, now I had the life time pension, etc. My Mom, what a show.
