The Island is 6 to 7 miles deep by about 20 miles long

B-1 = California Lighthouse - where the boys claim they took her first after leaving the Bar.

D-3 = #4 is the location of the 2 Marriott Hotels - where the 2 brothers (and now Joran) claim they dropped Joran and Natalee off after leaving the lighthouse -  the 2 brothers claim they went home to Hooiberg after that.

D-3 = #19 is the location of the Holiday Inn where Natalee was staying.

G-5 = Where the red #2 marker is pointing to is the area that the Carlos & Charlie Bar is located

D-4 = Township of Montana is where Joran lives

F-7/8 = Hooiberg (Haystack Mountain) - The 2 Kalpoe brothers live in this area at the foot of the Haystack Mountian.

C-9 = By the Natural Bridge on the map is the location where the sharks hang out as they are fed at this location. This is the Shark Infested Feeding Area.

E-3 = Wetland in the Bird Sanctuary is the location where they found the Condoms/Condom Wrappers - Duct Tape (looked like black electrical tape to me) - Female Flowered Panties - and a String or Strap from a Bikini or Halter Top.

Edmond of Top 95.1 commenting on the Nat. dissapearance, casting doubt if a young teenager Joran would have the expertise to pull a caper like this, that not even a hair is found. He feels the amount of focus of the Arubian LE is too focused on the 2 suspect. He reports that the tips of 2 men taking Natalee by force is not being followed up? Reports of Hotel employee is also confirming this but the LE is not following up. The theory of possible a second party sequestering Nat is possible. Another talker is mentioned perhaps a tag team of a second may have taken Nat. Counter argument said that he can't believe a 17 yr would have enough life experience to have a well thoughout crime. He does not believe Joran has the character to pull it off.

Edmond keeps thinking the 2 strangers may have contacted the Chaparone, perhaps the drug dealers near Holiday Inn. He states that strange occurences was going on near HI, but police is not following leads. His counter associate, is asking what happened afterwards, their motives etc. .. He feels there is a probably some kinda of fallacy that may have come out already. What if Joran does not know anymore, he mentioned a girl being hysterics.. but Ed says that Hotel workers say that a girl was taken away. He states people that knows need to take courage to give tips.

Varina, I sure do agree with you on that subject matter. I mentioned earlier there is too much concern about giving away 50 billion dollars to PA, kissing the muslims and illegals asses presently by the POTUS/State Department.

I did vote fo President Bush, but he should view this as if it were one daughters'. I just contacted my Congressman Jo Bonner, First District Alabama in regards to this Aruban selective law enforcement circus. NSNR

That's entirely possible Quilla. My worst fear tho, is she was dumped in the sea, far, far out. Or even in the cave areas on the right side of the island. There are so many places to dispose of a body, even on a small island. With PvDS in cahoots with J, chances of finding her lessen greatly.

I do not know what is going one with the Family , we understand the pressure to continue the search, Me too if something like this happens till you give up..It depends on the person but I would also stay around, there is a lot of pain. ... I think either one or 2 more months but if so, they can leave with the peace of mind that they did all possible they could...we tried all the best.. the family has persistance and patience.. we need compasion of their emotions.

Fascinating, kcvl!

Cultures vary...there was a study of a group of people from different countries and the researchers taped interactions. One person from a country where people stand close to one another was talking with a person from a country where people put a greater physical distance between one another as their form of polite behavior.

Played in fast motion, the researchers could watch the one (close) person back the (distant) person all around the room while they were conversing! Imperceptible in real time but on fast forward...quite illustrative!

I have that study around here somewhere and will look for it...cause I know I'm not explaining it very well...

WCG, have you noticed that things happen to people on these tropical island vacations. Remember the couple in Deep Water, two American men were recently shot and killed in Jamaica, Natalee and now this lady missing the carnival cruise lines tour.

Doesn't that beat all? And did I read the scroll correctly on Linda Vester's show that the Aruban authorities think Natalee is alive? I wonder if they might be nice enough to tell us where she might be residing?

Agreed, but I have to entertain the notion that "the van der Sweat" was a result of "concern for his Son."

I agree. I think waaaaaaay too much is being made here of the sweating thing. There are lots of reasons a parent might sweat over a child -- especially as those of us who've had teenagers know!

If my son were only 17 years old and was

(a) accused of murder
(b) had been held in jail practically incommunicado for weeks
(c) subjected to 10 hour interrogations
(d) not allowed a lawyer's counsel during interrogations (that's the procedure in Aruba)
(e) being attacked by the likes of Whorealdo and O'Reilly as a murdererous brat who only needs to be "broken down" by interrogators so that the "truth" is "squeezed out of him"

...and if, on top of that, I'M being questioned on camera before a world-wide audience, I think I'd be sweating pretty profusely too! -- Even if I knew my son were innocent.

Before I get flamed for being too soft or wanting to coddle Joran or sympathizing with a murderer, please note: I'm not doing that. I'm only noting a situation that could make any parent (even an innocent one) sweat.

Now I don't claim to know whether Joran or Paulus van der Sloot are guilty, or not guilty, of anything. And I don't think anybody else here has much claim on the truth of this case either. There are precious few genuine, certified known FACTS to work with, and there's great reason to doubt the media's sensational reporting and the media's "reliable sources" (what with the ridiculous false stories we've had already). And silly speculation is running stark raving mad.

Someone on one of the blog sites was discussing this scenario. (buried in sand) They posted that it would take one person too long to dig a deep enough hole in the sand and or other areas and that it would be easier to dump a body in one of the ponds/pits on the island.

I can imagine that if she was murdered that they would be frantic to cover their butts in a hurry not knowing when her friends would miss her. They wouldn't have any idea how much time they had.

On another note, has anyone heard the discussion of a boat called the Octopus that apparently was docked in Aruba for 18 years having disappeared? Something about the owner being a very experienced diver, and the entire crew missing?
