Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean, unapologetic in the face of recent criticism that he has been too tough on his political opposition, said in San Francisco this week that Republicans are "pretty much a monolithic party. They all behave the same. They all look the same. It's pretty much a white Christian party."

My thinking is publically Democrats are seemingly distancing themselves from Dean, while privately those same Democrats are just egging Dean on.

Dean is slamming NOT elected officials but the majority of Americans. he is increasingly making this personal, and at a point, laughter needs to cease and direct confrontation needs to occur.

I believe the operative words in your post are "Hell" and "fired". Your only mistake was on that last one; using a noun as a verb.
