Director STEVEN SPIELBERG wept at a premiere of pal GEORGE LUCAS' final STAR WARS movie EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH.
JURASSIC PARK film-maker, Spielberg was so moved by the eagerly-awaited conclusion of the sci-fi saga, he burst into tears at its screening last week.
But he's unashamed by his tears, insisting fans will also cry at the end of the film, because its moving conclusion marks the end of Lucas' epic story.
Spielberg says, "I saw it about a week ago, and it's absolutely amazing.
"It's the best of the last three episodes. It's the best way you could possibly imagine for George to finish it off, it has a tremendous ending and it's very dark. You'll cry at the end, it's wonderful."
Be warned about KOTOR II. The studio rushed it out to make it for the Christmas shopping season. It's a great 40 hours ... followed by an incomprehensible and idiotic ending.
Really? I got a great first 10 hours, followed by another 10 hours of getting annoyed by everyone constantly talking in circles, followed by another 10 hours of realizing that none of the build up was ever going to pay off, followed by an incomprehensible, idiotic, and pointless ending.
rofl
thanks.
clone
lots of em.
the dark side is infinite.
from the outset gl promised NINE, a complete set of three trilogies.
nine, of them, there are.
written, the story line is, already.
information, more of, you do not require.
patience you have need of.
heh heh...
See post # 35. Both trailers make it seem as if it will be spot on.
Besides the fact that this is a load of BS, you can indeed turn back, because Vader did right before he died.
As to the other, those are Yoda's thoughts, not mine.
So they didn't want to make him look older? That was a mistake?
Read things in context.
It's definitely IV it says so during the story scroll at the beginning: Episode IV, A New Hope!
Very cool. I will try it. Can you make custom characters like in Jedi Knight? I always liked choosing the character closest looking to Aalya Secura in Jedi Knight Jedi Academy.
Heck Luke's anger looks pacifist compared to how he acts in The Unifying Force (New Jedi Order series). Gone is with all the "fear the darkside" stuff replaced with absolute fury.
He got very angery when Vader taunted him about Liea (the "Other" that Yoda speaks of in Empire Strikes Back) but he DID NOT go to the Dark Side. Infact Vader himself killed the Emperor when he was electrocuting his son to death.
Actually that's about right.
Lucas himself has admitted that the back story he had written mostly pertained to the events in Episode III. Something like 60/40 - 60% for III, 40% for I and II.
And, it seems, it showed.
But the early buzz on Episode III: Revenge of the Sith is good. Even from reviewers who panned the first two. I guess you could say that this was the movie that is easiest for Lucas to get right. It's the movie everyone really wanted to see: Obi-Wan and Anakin fighting it out. Anakin's turn to the dark side. How he became Darth Vader.
I didn't think the first two were bad. Just not nearly as good as the original trilogy.
Yeah, you design your own character -- both physical appearance and skills. It's a great game. And it has a totally shocking plot twist about 2/3 of the way through.
"I think it's pretty clear that Lucas captured lightning in a bottle the first time around."
With help from the people who produced the film, edited it, etc., which may explain why he is apparently obsessed with expurgating that version of the film from public availability until he died.
His refusal to have a studio release of the original version of the films is only explained by ego rather than business sense, as there is clearly a large demand for it.
I'd cry too if I saw the movie, for the 10 bucks and the two hours of my life I'll never get back,
I disagree - the new trilogy (as well as Lucas' revised old triology) is quite different in character than the first movies, particularly the first 2 (ep 4 & 5).
THe visual slapstick humor that seems geared toward 10 year olds that has permeated the recent lucas work simply wasn't present in the first 2 movies. Burp & Fart humor wasn't either, though I cannot see how its addition has improved the series. I have felt and continue to feel that ep 4 and 5 were geared towards adults as much as children if not more.
The new movies, as well as some of lucas' revisions of the old movies, are cleared geared towards a child audience.
actually that 'episode IV' was apparently added after the initial theatrical release.
I heard a rumor that Darth Vader is really Luke's FATHER! Can you BELIEVE it?
I loved the first Star Wars. The original one. After that, IMHO, it was all down hill.
I actually watched "Jurassic Park" again last night. It was on TBS or something. It's aged pretty well, though this time through all I saw it as was one long merchandising commercial.
I guess I'm all grown up now, LOL!
