Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
I read on one of the posts that a woman wanted to keep her husband alive but Judge Greer refused to allow it - seems it happened in 2000.
amen! EVERY knee will bow, EVERY tongue will declare He is God. It'll kill em...
Thank you for correcting that falsehood. It was a good way to do it without feeding the troll.
Listen Live is at the top.

I think they'll be too terrified to be indignant.
Easy. Quit complaining to a computer screen and get out to your local public school. Volunteer, join the PTO, teach, or get on the school board. I'm at school every day so know what's being taught and which teachers I want or don't want my children to have. I'm also there as an influence for other's children. I devoted much time last year to Terri and to this day, I have public school educated children asking me about Terri and telling me their concerns. You want change, then by golly do something about it!
ya know what? let them blame us..they blame us for everything anyways.... we've got to realize guys.. We cannot win the hearts of the wicked in these cases...I don't care what they think of us frankly... God knows what's going on and who is who.. and they are in for a big nasty surprise at the end.
Further, it has made it possible for someone to make another person miserable and then use that misery and excuse to kill them.
Terri said "Where there's life, there's hope," so let's not give up.
I called President Bush's comment line, 1-202-456-1111 and asked him to use his executive powers to save Terri.
There's more we can do!!! ESPECIALLY PRAY!!! But God works through his people, so let's take action, too.
Here's an e-mail I received today from rightmarch.com, a great group. Another number that RightMarch did not include is the Governor's Legislative Affairs Office: 1-850-488-5000 (might be easier to get through). I told them if children and grannies are getting arrested, Governor Bush should not be afraid, either.
So here's the info:
ALERT: Time is running out for Terri Schiavo. She's been
starving to death for seven days now. An expert neurologist
from the Mayo Clinic has testified that she is NOT in a
"persistent vegetative state," but is very aware of what
is going on around her. That means that in her present
state, she is in a great deal of pain and suffering from
starving to death -- she just can't communicate that fact
to those around her. Contrary to those that try to paint
a picture of a "gentle process," death by dehydration is a
cruel, inhumane and often agonizing death.
We MUST stop this inhumanity NOW.
Governor Jeb Bush is Terri's last hope. But it's not looking
very likely that he'll act on the authority he has... unless
he hears from YOU and ME in a powerful way, RIGHT NOW.
We had a meeting on Wednesday between folks from RightMarch
(William Greene and our attorney, Larry Klayman) and Governor
Bush's chief counsel (his top lawyer on staff). We presented
information on why the Governor has the authority RIGHT NOW
under Florida Law and the state constitution to take Terri
into protective custody NOW, and save her life.
Gov. Bush failed to take action.
We had a meeting on Thursday between our folks (this time,
Larry Klayman AND Ambassador Alan Keyes) and Gov. Bush's
Chief of Staff. Dr. Keyes eloquently explained to him why
the Governor has the authority RIGHT NOW under Florida Law
and the state constitution to take Terri into protective
custody NOW, and save her life.
Gov. Bush failed to take action.
In fact, at one point, we received definitive word that the
Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) was on
their way to the hospice where Terri is being held, to take
her in and re-insert her feeding tube. Then, the little
dictatorial tyrant, Judge Greer, gave an order for them to
NOT take her. They could have -- and should have -- ignored
this unconstitutional and illegal order... but Gov. Bush
told them to stop.
Gov. Bush failed to take action.
This is OUTRAGEOUS. Judge Greer has shown more courage in
trying to KILL Terri Schiavo than Gov. Bush has shown in
trying to save her. But instead of facing Judge Greer down
like he should have... Bush blinked.
This is THE pivotal moment in Gov. Bush's political career.
He MUST be a hero for Terri Schiavo. He needs to step up
to the plate NOW, and exercise his constitutional and legal
authority NOW, before Terri dies. But he doesn't seem to
be willing to take that chance and do it... so we need to
help encourage him.
So once more, we need YOUR help.
We need EVERYONE READING THIS MESSAGE to call Governor
Jeb Bush RIGHT AWAY, and ask him to do one simple thing:
"PLEASE EXERCISE YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY, AND
TAKE TERRI SCHIAVO INTO PROTECTIVE CUSTODY RIGHT AWAY."
That's all we're asking you to do. Just call Gov. Bush
NOW and beg him to save Terri's life, using the power he
already has.
TAKE ACTION: PLEASE call Governor Jeb Bush's office NOW
at 850-488-4441 (or fax him at 850-487-0801), asking him
to exercise the executive powers he ALREADY HAS, and take
custody of Terri Schiavo to save her from being starved
to death. You can also e-mail him at jeb@myflorida.com .
We've been here lobbying the Governor all week long. We've
had daily prayer vigils in his office, and nightly vigils
outside of his mansion at 700 North Adams. Hundreds of
people have been outside of Terri's hospice in Pinellas
Park, and we have chartered buses to bring many of them
here to Tallahassee to plead with Gov. Bush to use the
powers he has NOW to save Terri's life NOW.
Even Terri's parents, the Schindlers, will be on ALL THREE
major network morning shows today, thanks to our efforts,
pleading with Gov. Bush to act quickly. And we'll be here
ALL DAY on Good Friday to ask Gov. Bush to intervene to
save the life of Terri Schiavo. The governor has it within
his power to rescue Terri, and her life is in the governor's
hand.
You can click below to read -- AND USE -- the five legal
briefs that explain to Gov. Jeb Bush that he has the legal
authority to save Terri Schiavo:

Call Gov. Bush NOW and ask him to USE his legal powers to save
Terri's life. For the sake of Terri's life, we CANNOT afford
to wait while the courts bicker over jurisdiction -- and we
CANNOT let little two-bit judges order the Executive branch
to not do their duty.
I tried it...I guess I missed Glen Beck...?
Which is just what happened here, Supercat. Shudder.
CAtholic school ain't what it used to be...Don't know what scars you got (My husband had bad experiences, too when he was a boy, so I am not denying your experiences...there were and are some bad ones)...but the schools now aren't what you went to. Mostly secular people teaching, a whole lot of rules about abuse that weren't there before the scandals, and frequently very bad catechesis, counting on your school.
The very best are wonderful. The worst, you might as well have saved your money.
If it is possible to weep in heaven, Mother Cabrini and St. John Bosco and the other teacher saints must be weeping over what has happened to the schools.
Florida isn't unique in this. There are MANY communities in the US where justice is not present. Places where the government and institutions are connected in a network of people with the same last name or corrupt associations. The outsider has no chance to succeed.
Have I ever told you that I love your board name!?
Agreed.
Noonan's got a new column on opinionjournal.com -- has anyone posted a thread? I don't do that very deftly.
Really, though. I think other homeschooling parents would not find your suggestion a practical application, 'lest they slack off on teaching their own children.
Sorry, I left the computer for just a few moments. Father Schindler looked so weary. He basically said that they are once again going to the 11th Circuit, but that Terri is weakening and is going to die soon. I didn't hear the entire conference so maybe there are those who could share what was said before that. Kimmie, he looks AWFUL, it is heartwrenching.
Wesley has written often about Terri. I have his books and have corresponded with him in the past. There is a link to one of his writings on my FR page.
